SitRep - 19/04/24 - A destroyed Tu-22M3 bomber πŸ›¬

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Overnight, Ukraine downed a Tu-22M3, the first one during the war. Also, US procedural voting made a final vote on aid to Ukraine possible.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours, and we include footage of destroyed or damage Russian equipment or personnel.
Overnight, Ukraine repelled a large missile and drone attack. It even downed a Tu-22M3, reportedly with an S-200.
Footage and confirmation of the downed Tu-22M3 came available quickly.
The GUR reports that it was their operation with the help of the S-200 missile system.
During the day, four recon drones were destroyed
SSO units at work in the Donetsk region and Zaporizhzia region.
Russian equipment and armor/vehicles destroyed in the Avdiivka direction
More from the same unit. A BMP and tank were destroyed
Quite extreme footage. It shows and confirms that trying to escape from an FPV if it has its eyes on you, is practically impossible.
A high-ranking commander died during the recent Storm Shadow/SCALP strikes in occupied Luhansk.
Satelite images confirm an S-300/400 battery was completely destroyed in Dzhankoy air base, which was recently targetted by Ukrainian missiles.
Also satelite images from the over-the-horizon radar emerged, which show signs of damage to a part of the antenna.

Britain allocated more money for the reconstruction of Ukraine's energy sector.
Ukraine will receive more money from the EIB, which will give the economy in Ukraine a good boost.
Zelenskyi visited the front today
Stoltenberg said that soon, NATO countries will announce more aid to Ukraine, likely in the form of additional air defense systems such as Patriot or SAMP/T and NASAMS.
