After a 37-year-old man died shortly after receiving a shot, his autopsy said he died of “post vaccination systemic inflammation response." A CDC employee said the death was “evident of a sudden death post second dose of Moderna vaccine.”
In another case, a 24-year-old man died two months after receiving a Pfizer vaccine. An autopsy described the death as resulting from “complications of COVID-19 vaccine-related myocarditis."

A CDC spokeswoman refused to say why autopsies were not counted as evidence.

CDC officials falsely told the paper's authors that the paper did not add anything to a previously published CDC report, which estimated more COVID-19 hospitalizations would be prevented than cases of heart inflammation caused.
The paper's authors took key steps the CDC had not, including removing incidental hospitalizations and separating non high-risk children from high-risk children.
CDC official: "We noticed 'myocarditis' was trending on Twitter this morning, and that this tweet seems to have driven it. Raising this as a potential opportunity to get some messaging out around vaccine safety."
The tweet in question noted that MSNBC host Yasmin Vossoughian, who received a COVID-19 vaccine, suffered a form of heart inflammation called myocarditis. It's a known side effect of the vaccines.
