Security guards hired by @UCLA retreated and hid inside a building last night as counter-protesters attacked a pro-Palestine encampment.

They refused to let anyone else inside, including UCLA student journalists covering the events, @dailybruin reports:

So incredibly sad to learn yesterday that Henry Berg-Brousseau, a transgender rights advocate, has died at age 24.

“The vitriol against trans people is not happening in a vacuum,” his mother wrote. “It is not just a way of scoring political points.”

I knew Henry, because I had reached out to him in 2016. He and two other protesters sued Donald Trump for inciting violence after they were attacked by a group of Neo-Nazis at a Trump campaign rally in Louisville.
