Formed in 2021, they were originally called Cyber Manufacture Co, and they were a "creative studio building next-generation experiences at the intersection of entertainment and technology."
Their main project was GAMA, a "UE5-powered virtual metaverse & new forms of entertainment"
To play it, you need a GAMA NFT, which represents a unique character, & gives you access to play in the game, hosted and maintained by Cyber Manufacture.
There are different types of character NFTs, ranging from cooks, to security, to engineers and even captains.
They all look fairly similar, but if you want to play as a captain, well, you guessed it: those cost more - sometimes up to 1ETH.

At some point, Jesse promised, GAMA would be backed by their ground breaking AI: The Quantum Engine: "Breakthrough technology empowering immersive experiences with AI" which would power the game's NPCs.
No annoucement was made to the GAMA project members, some of whom had dropped thousands on their GAMA NFTs, that their promised Quantum Engine AI was now OS2, designed for buying groceries!

On 11th November 2023, Cyber announced that they were open sourcing the entire Gama game (minus the AI bit!). At the time they pitched this as the next step in GAMA's journey "as we aim to keep GAMA living forever! 🚀"
They even announced a "new API for AI NPCs".
🧵 7/15
In fact, they had no intention of keeping GAMA living for ever. This was a lie.
On the 2nd November, 2 weeks before the open sourcing annoucement, Cyber Manufacture had quietly filed to rename itself to the Rabbit Inc.
The very same Rabbit Inc that we all know & love.

Again, noone bothered to tell the GAMA customers. In fact, by this point, Jesse had been mostly ghosting the GAMA discord server from around the end of April 2023.
One of this last posts in gama-chat was actually chastising the doubters and telling people to keep faith.

By Jan 2024, , , , and their associated twitter accounts: @GAMA_AI, @quantumengineai, have all been shut down and scrubbed from the internet.
In the Rabbit Discord channel, I asked Jesse to explain why he ditched GAMA. His explaination? It was just "fun during covid". He tries to give the impression he never cared about it all.
I don't think his customers saw it that way.

For clarity, Rabbit Inc IS Cyber Manufacture Co, it's the same company, just renamed. Cyber Manufacture Co, as a company sold NFTs. They still control many of the NFTs themselves.
To claim that his company has nothing to do with crypto and web 3 is a lie.
🧵 12/15
So, how does the story end? Well, for the GAMA holders, with anti-climatic disappointment.
Whilst doing my research, I found their discord, so I let them know what had happened.
Jesse and the team couldn't even be bothered to them them themselves.

GAMA is a cautionary tale. You pay upfront for an NFT, with a vague promise that it would give lifetime access to the GAMA game, which would one day be powered by the Quantum Engine AI.
When Jesse shut GAMA down, the NFTs no longer served a purpose, so lost their value

Rabbit asks you to pay up front for the R1 device, with a vague promise that it will give livetime access to cloud-RabbitOS, which will one day be powered by LAM/Teach Mode.
What happens when @jessechenglyu runs off again? What value will the R1 have then?

@Jawwad_F @rowans_planet @rabbit_hmi The Kernel™️ claimed to be able to run on a device with as little as 0.2 vCPUs, internet connection, microphone and speaker.
It's difficult to know for sure, as there is no further information about it, but this seems to suggest the model itself could run on the end user device.
@Jawwad_F @rowans_planet @rabbit_hmi If this was indeed a precursor to the R1 concept, this is strange as, as has been reported @AndroidAuth, there is absolutely no evidence of a modified kernel on the R1 itself.
@Jawwad_F @rowans_planet @rabbit_hmi @AndroidAuth The use of the term "vCPU" is also odd in the kernel™️'s marketing spiel also seems to contradict the assumption that it would run on-device, as a "vCPU", or "Virtual CPU", is normally used as measurement of virtual compute CPUs in cloud settings.
@Jawwad_F @rowans_planet @rabbit_hmi @AndroidAuth Clearly, it is a bit confusing about where the Kernel™️ runs - locally or in the cloud - much like there has been confusion with RabbitOS!
@Jawwad_F @rowans_planet @rabbit_hmi @AndroidAuth By the way, I'm referring Kernel™️ with the TM sign, because they did in their marketing.
However, weirdly, I have not been able to find any evidence of an entity called "Rabbit" or "Cyber Manufacture" ever having registered the "Kernel" Trademark! 🤷♀️
Their response includes the claim of "very bespoke AOSP & lower level firmware modifications", mirroring Jesse's previous claims R1 uses a "heavily modified AOSP".
AOSP = "Android Open Source Project": Android, without Google's proprietary code for GMail, OK Google, etc
