A new video game is being made to tell the story of the Nakba. Dreams on a Pillow is made by Palestinian developer @RasheedAbueideh, who previously made Liyla and the Shadows of War.
๐งต of the crowdfunding campaign and more details on the game
@RasheedAbueideh First, the campaign. They're raising $194,800 to build the game (that's 1948 x $100). launchgood.com/1948
@RasheedAbueideh Rasheed's previous Liyla and the Shadows of War is currently available to play. It's an extremely beautiful and sad game - also very short (~20 minutes) and you should try it. buff.ly/3CVx5JH
Lavender uses WhatsApp messages as input to their AI - where do they get this from? Surely Meta should not be giving group membership to a military that is bombing their users and their entire families, without oversight?
Lavender should be viewed as a systematization of genocide. It creates the system by which mass murder is enabled and accomplished, and is the Auschwitz of this war.
Nazi's could just have killed their victims where they stood, but the system -- the trains, the camps, the gas chambers -- was necessary to keep their population complacent to the genocide
Israel needs a similar "machinery" to provide a veneer of legitimacy to the genocide its committing, in particular to keep the US and western allies on the team. It has created many.
To put the intercept article in broader context:
- Israel pushed lies about sexual violence
- NYT editors demanded an article to supprt it
- NYT got a first time "reporter" to "investigate"
- they found nothing. zero. nada
- they published it anyway
- Israel murders 30,000 people
In it, I call out my investors who are whitewashing the genocide and promoting Israeli talking points while Israel bombs and murders innocent civilians.
Please read and share - I don't want to have torched my career for nothing
