The worst thing is to accuse someone of anti-Semitism when you ask an obvious question. Security measures & debate surrounding Israel's presence at this year's ESC have never been greater. The question was personal, because everyone struggles with some thoughts on this matter 1/n
Eden Golan brings risk and danger to Malmo as a singer of her beautiful country - even if it is a broadcasting competition. Crazy supporters of Hamas can take advantage of the situation and the interest in the ESC for various activities. This was the question and nothing else 2/n
The issue of her young age has nothing to do with not being able to ask the question. Eden is of legal age and participated in a press conference at a public event. She did very well. 3/n
"Safety is the most important thing to us" I often hear from EBU representatives, and Eden also said and confirmed it. 4/n
This is a song contest, but you can ask one question. I have expressed my opinion about singer Eden Golan many times elsewhere: a fantastic singer and a really good song, which is why I was attacked for "supporting Israel". 5/n
Anyone who knows me knows that I perfectly understand the complex situation in the Middle East, including Israel's right to defend its own interests. That's all. It was not a political question. It was an obvious remark with no intention to harm anybody. 6/n
I knew I could create a controversy, but tried to make it in the most diplomatic way.
Long live love.
