SitRep - 12/05/24 - Evacuations in Vovchansk

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Russia has stepped up in the Kharkiv region, pressing hard towards the border town Vovchansk. Right now, fierce battles are going on.

A total of 5 UAVs were shot down over the past 24 hours.
In the Volgograd region in Russia, another oil refinery was hit by UAVs.

Russians filmed how one of their armoured vehicles was hit and destroyed by a Ukrainain FPV drone.
An MT-LB and a BMD destroyed in forest area of near Kupyansk.
In Bilhorod, a multi-storey building collapsed after which Russia claimed it was due to Ukrainian rocket shelling.
But after footage appeared from the actual moment that the building collapsed, it can almost be ruled out that a rocket coming from Ukrainian territory, was the cause for the collapse.

Kharkiv region. During the past 24 hours, Russian forces made territorial gains by taking over control over 3 more villages: Morokhovets, Oliinykove and Zelene. Fighting occurs on the outskirts of Vovchansk, where Russian forces breaking into the airfield area.

CiC Syrskyi assessed the situation in Kharkiv, and called it significantly aggravated.
Local policemen in charge of evacuation say that Vovchansk is being destroyed by Russians, and that they are trying to get all local population out.
