Yesterday, I looked the CEO of Shell straight in the eyes and told him that he should be ashamed of himself, that he is evil, and that he is already responsible for the deaths of so many. I never thought an opportunity like this would ever happen. But it did. (1)
I am so proud of the activists I joined forces with to make this happen. I’m so empowered by the people who, in the spur of the moment, decided to join us when we staged a walk out.
We did this because the platforming of an oil executive at a climate summit is unbelievable. (2)
Shell is incredibly responsible for the climate crisis. There should be no faith in change happening from the inside of companies that have profited off the climate crisis and caused total devastation to communities all over the world for generations. (3)
