So I left sevington after 6 hours last night .

The physical examination is almost designed to be intimidating . They escort you to a huge metal shed whenever two inspectors guide you in . The shutters then come down and you are told to wait in a cornered off area 1/

I guess it was about 20 minutes until two border force officials come from a side entrance - they make no contact with you . They don’t speak .

You then watch as they start the “physical examination” almost worried you’ve done something wrong . When you haven’t .

Don’t forget this is a huge metal shed . It’s designed almost to look like you’ve been arrested and they are looking for something illegal ( a bit like the border force USA ) .

It’s a very unpleasant experience . No wonder many drivers don’t come back .

To end - this is nothing like border force at Calais checking your vehicle . This is real intimidating stuff . They’ve designed it to be that way .

The whole border facility seems as if it’s built to be intimidating.

CH border - at least you have police and customs at the actual border . Same with Norway .

And then actually interact with you . Not like this . It’s built around silence and intimidation.

They put you in these wonderful looking things .
