Introducing the Blast Jackpot — a new way for Blast token and NFT holders to earn Gold.
All Blast token and NFT holders are eligible to win the 1,000,000 Gold Jackpot!
Learn how 👇
Blast has been live for 64 days. In this time 907,018 users have deposited $2.64 Billion to Blast, and deployed $1.52 Billion into over 100 Blast Dapps.
During this time, ETH and USDB holders have earned Points, while Dapp users have earned Gold.
Starting today, token and NFT holders can earn Gold too.
The Blast Jackpot randomly rewards holders on Blast with Gold.
Early Access users can bridge to Mainnet and use Blast-native Dapps that don’t exist anywhere else👇
To recap, Blast is the L2 with native yield. ETH and stablecoin balances on Blast are automatically yield bearing. This increases capital efficiency for users and unlocks new possibilities for Dapps.
During our Early Access phase, 181,888 community members bridged $2.3B to Blast. These community members are earning $85 million per year in native yield + Blast Points.
3000+ teams started building on Blast during the competition.
We hand-picked 47 winners with help from @Izebel_eth @danrobinson @0xfoobar @_jaechung @loomdart @cl207 @caseykcaruso @santiagoroel @rewkang @will__price @Evan_ss6
Winners below👇
Before we highlight winners, we want to make one thing clear:
It’s impossible to get it 100% right.
50% of YC founders were previously rejected before getting accepted.
There are going to be incredible teams that we missed in the judging.
While we are excited to highlight the winners, we are just as excited about the teams who submitted who didn’t get selected.
The average quality of submissions was impressively high, which made it all the more challenging to select winners.
Read this thread to understand the security model of Blast along with other L2s like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon.
There are often misunderstandings when it comes to security. Security exists on a spectrum (nothing is 100% secure) and it's nuanced with many dimensions. There's smart contract security, browser security, physical security. Each dimension has separate attack vectors.
Having an immutable smart contract may seem like a "more secure" option. But, especially in complex contracts, it can be less secure than an upgradeable contract.
Introducing Blast: The only Ethereum L2 with native yield for ETH and stablecoins.
We’ve raised $20m from @Paradigm and @StandardCrypto to build the L2 that helps you earn more.
Details on how to get early access at the end of the thread👇
Why another L2?
Blast is built on the principle that markets march towards efficiency. More specifically, liquidity flows to where it can get the highest yield.
There are different types of yield. One type of yield is the risk-free interest rate (RFR). The most famous RFR is in the US economy. The Fed controls inflation via interest rates and you can access it via T-Bills. If you don’t beat these rates, you are losing money to inflation.
