How the Saudi's financed Iran's War Effort and helped Iran gain influence in Iraq
🧵A Thread
Saudi Arabian Intelligence and the UAE founded the BCCI Bank
The bank was involved in numerous schemes including money laundering and financing weapons for Iran
In the BCCI Investigation, it was revelead that the main shareholders were Kamal Adham former head of Saudi Intelligence and Sheikh Zayed of UAE
The investigations also revealed that BCCI both financed, money laundered and arranged arms deals for Iran
Iran would pay Israel for weapons using credits from Bank Melli, the same bank that BCCI was money laundering for
Israel also started employing arms dealers as a smoke screen, that the BCCI financed.
One of the important arms dealers was Saudi, Adnan Khasoggi.
Adnan Khasoggi became the official representant of the main shareholder of BCCI, Kamal Adham in the U.S.
Adnan Khasoggi's cousin was also a partner of Kamal Adham. He helped acquire the First American Bank.
Kamal Adham was also the CIA's prinicpal liasion in the Middle East between the mid 1960's till 1979
There were also Kuwaiti routing vehicles such as the Kuwaiti International Company involved in these dealings.
These would later also finance deals for the Kuwaiti's such as buying Czech's to drive the tanks, while the Kuwait's would wave Kuwaiti flags in the 1991 Gulf War
By the confession of Kamal Adham himself, BCCI owned 69 banks in 69 countries.
Kamal Adham also pushed Anwar Sadat to the Camp David Accords with Israel and had hundreds of USSR Military Advisors kicked out of Egypt in 1972.
This was only one year before the October War of 1973.
In the declassified documents of Iran-Contra, we see the U.S. promising Iran that it will help promote stronger ties between Iran and "Friendly Arabs"
The U.S. also promises Iran "friendly media coverage"
Sam Bamieh later documented 6 instances in which King Fahd of Saudi Arabia had personally paid for arms going to Iran during the Iran-Iraq war
The justification was that they no believed Iraq could win the war and that they feared a victorious Iran
Adnan Khasoggi, an major arms dealer involved in Iran-Contra had earlier made remarks admitting that King Fahd indeed was aware of the dealings
Several newspapers at the same began to run the story, that the Iran-Contra deal actually orginated in Saudi Arabia
The Jordanian Armsdealer, Munther Bilbeisi used a Jordanian front company to buy Helicopters, Planes and weapons for the "Jordanian Army"
But instead he sold it to Guatamala and Iran
We see here that his company Mura International were using BCCI
Munther Bilbeisi wanted to sell Iran brand new F14 planes and Skorzy Helicopters
Saudi Arabia would later settle with Sam Bamieh in court paying him off in return for his silence
Robert McFarlane, national security advisor to Ronald Reagan who was a main figure in Iran-Contra, took active steps to conceal or suppress Saudi Arabia's role.
Saudi Arabia in the same time period, were compensating Iran for lost it's oil revenue as a result of the war.
Iraq much like Iran, had used BCCI throughout the war. However Iraq was promised by interest free loans by it's "Friendly Arab counterparts"
However this ended up not being the case. As Iraq's loans in a mysterious way ended up being owned by European Banks that refused to rescheldue the loans
Iraq managed to only succesfully reschedule loans with Japan and France leading up to 1991
BCCI's involvement in brokering 3rd world debt, appears to have played a role.
These loans were a major reason for the 1990 Kuwait War.
In a letter written by Tariq Aziz to the Arab League, claiming that the loans were given interest free as the Press Statements accurately reflected.
Saudi Arabia continued to support Iran's involvement in Iraq even after the war. They helped the Iranian militas in Iraq accquire power as confessed by Turki Al Faisal
For unknown reasons, there has been very few studies looking into BCCI and Iran Contra in conjecture.
These are simply my findings after a couple of weeks of reading into this. I hope and invite any researcher to add to this.

🧵During the U.S. invasion of Iraq, Sistani, one of the most influential Shia clerics in the world, urged his followers to cooperate with the coalition forces.
This thread compiles official statements from Iraqi, American, and British figures confirming this policy.
Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz:
“Sistani issued the first pro-US fatwa in history, advising believers not to obstruct the liberation forces and to assist in ending this war.”
C-Span, dated 10/4/2003
President George W. Bush:
“The response of Grand Ayatollah Sistani and many other leaders was constructive and very important, and we appreciate their leadership.”
⚡Iranian Officials Admitting to Helping the U.S. in its invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan
Former Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:
America has said that Iran is the axis of evil. They made such an insult when Iran was the country that cooperated with them the most in Afghanistan and Iraq.
⚡Documenting U.S. Support for Iraqi Iran-Backed Militias Fighting in Syria
First and foremost, these militias were Iran's main gateway to assisitng the U.S. in the invasion of Iraq
During this time period, they both trained military and given heavy support. They patrolled the streets of Basra on behalf of the coallition forces.
These U.S. trained militas would later fight side by side with the Americans and attack the Iraqi Resistance that were fighting the U.S. Invasion in Fallujah and elsewhere.
The occupation soldiers wanders around in Gaza, with drones over their head 24/7 give them false assurances that there is nothing to be worried about.
And then the suprise comes all of a sudden. They die. But how?
Naturally in a war like this the weaker side has to resort to innovative and unusual attacks.
An example of such 100 days into the war, Al Qassam released this footage of an ambush.
Here we see a Al Qassam field commander monitiroing a camera as the occupation soldiers enter, he gives the order to attack.
This is not the only kind of suprise attack.
This is not the only kind of suprise attack.
It was when the occupation attacked the Al Maghazi Refugee Camp. The occupation forces were ready to blow up a house, with their force mostly present inside the house.
Then Al Qassam fighters show up, and start firing RPG projectiles into the place, triggering the pre planted bombs inside. The attack killed 21 IOF soldiers in one go.
These kind of operations and traps indicate that Al Qassam has a great understanding of the enemies movements especially from an intelligence point of view.
