Zero Shadow Day, also known as Lahaina Noon, is an interesting semi-annual solar phenomenon Image
It happens in the tropics when the Sun is directly overhead (perpendicular to the ground) Image
Because of this, the Sun’s rays will fall exactly vertical relative to everything on the ground, resulting in there being no observable shadows Image
The effect of there being no shadows leads to everything looking like it was digitally edited in (almost like a badly animated video game) Image
