Let's understand what the digital brigades of pro-Lula sindicates are?

• Digital Brigades: In an article brought by the newspaper Folha de São Paulo, the organization of digital brigades by the CUT (Central Única dos Trabalhadores), where individuals are encouraged to create WhatsApp groups and register them with the entity for the distribution of pro-Lula materials.
 • Legal Concerns: There is a debate about whether these brigades could lead to illegal electoral propaganda, depending on their use, as corporate and union campaign financing is prohibited.
 • CUT’s Stance: The CUT denies that the initiative is intended for electoral propaganda and states that it has historically positioned itself in elections but never explicitly asked for votes for any candidate.
 • Election Strategy: The initiative was presented to Lula, with the goal of organizing 50,000 digital brigadiers to combat fake news and provide accurate information to the public.

- In March 2021, the Brazilian Trade Union Centrals Forum, which brings together CSB, CUT, Força Sindical, UGT, CTB and NCST, received a contribution of US$300 thousand (equivalent to R$1.7 million at the current rate) from Communist Party of China (CCP).

- This donation was made through the China Federation of Trade Unions, which is linked to the CCP. The money is intended for actions to combat the covid-19 pandemic, a disease caused by the new coronavirus.

It was under this pretext that Brazilian unions received money from the Chinese government so that partisan political movements and acts in Brazil could take place without attracting attention from the mainstream media.

The question that remains is where is the equality of this process and the transparency of this information.
