I'm 44.

If you're still in your 20's, read this:
1. When you turn 40 you'll see a divide between those who took care of their bodies & those who didn't.

2. Getting 8 hours of sleep & taking walks outside will help you more than any health guru on the planet.
3. Sleep is the best legal performance enhancing drug on the planet. You also sleep for 1/3 of your life. Learn how to sleep well.

4. Your parents did the best they could with what they were taught. Sure, they weren't perfect but neither were you. Appreciate them.
5. Food is the most widely abused drug. Exercise is the most underutilized antidepressant.

6. What you measure is what you manage. Want to get better at anything? Track it.

7. "You should be doing X by 30..." Fuck these lists. The only timing that matters is your own. Honor it.
8. As you level up your friends will change. Accept this. It is what it is.

9. At some point it will be the last time you get to hang with a friend. Cherish them.
10. If you hang around someone & feel like your energy was zapped out of your body take that as a signal to not hang around that person anymore.

11. Your diet consists of the food you put into your body, the information you take in & the friends you hang around.
12. If you want better results find better friends. This doesn't mean to get rid of close ones. It does mean to level up the people you hang around.

13. The less you give a fuck about what other people think the more peaceful you'll feel.
14. Your brain is a piece of software. You update it by reading books, crushing challenges, meditation, learning skills & your network.

15. Your body is a piece of hardware. You update it through lifting, cardio, nutrition & stretching.
16. Create a habit of always paying off your credit card. Keeping a balance is the quickest way to get mired in debt.

17. Create a habit of saving at least 10% (or more) of what you earn.

18. Learn how to invest to turn those dollars into more dollars.
19. Spend quality time every day away from your phone. A great life is lived outside. Not on a screen.

20. Learn how to be bored. The ability to do nothing is a superpower in a world of distraction.
21. Write out a vision for your life. Break the vision down into 3 year goals.

Break those down into one year. Break those down into quarterly objectives.

Plan out your monthly projects.

Break those down into weekly & daily tasks.

This is how you make your vision a reality.
22. Train yourself to get the most important task done in the beginning of the day. Eat the frog.

23. Hire mentors sooner. They will get you from point A to point B faster than buying any book or course.
24. Pay whatever money it takes to get in better rooms. Invest in the mastermind. Go to conferences. This is how you build out a network while learning.

25. Self pity & arguing for your excuses are signs of learned helplessness. Avoid at all costs.
26. If you're growing life is supposed to be uncomfortable. Accept this & invite it.

27. The foods you eat affect your gut. Your gut affects your brain. Want a better brain? Eat better foods.
28. The things you want are on the other side of facing your fears.

29. Worrying is wasted energy. No situation was made better by worrying about it.

30. Know the destination & focus on the next steps. Keep taking those steps until you hit your goal then set a new one.
31. Sleep is more important than food.

You can go a week without eating & the only thing you’ll lose is weight.

Give up sleep for a couple of days & you become the worst version of yourself.
32. Get your body to a level where food & pharma companies can't make money off you.

33. Choosing who you will partner with in life will be the most important decision you'll make.

Avoid choosing based on looks alone. They must also fit your personality & values.
34. When you're younger live in the city for network & opportunities. When you're older & have a family live in small towns for peace & tranquility.

35. Life's too short to not live in a place that suits your personality.
36. Choose your habits & vices wisely. They become harder to break when you get older.

37. Cut off energy & happiness vampires. Gotta be ruthless with who you allow in your life.

38. Get married & have kids when you're ready. Not according to someone else's timeline.
39. Live life according to your standards. Not your parents, your friends, or a random person on the internet 😉

40. Don't take anything I said on this thread at face level. Test them out in your life. If they work then great. If not then disregard them.
I have a lot more so I'll leave you one last one:

Each year keeps on getting better. Believe this.

If you want to live to 100 or longer track these 6 key metrics:

1. Cardiorespiratory fitness

What to track: VO₂max, one mile run times or 3 mile cycle times.

Your cardio system is one of the best predictors all-cause mortality.
2. Muscle strength and lean mass

What to track: grip strength, FFMI, basic strength standards.

Low strength and muscle mass are hallmarks of frailty and higher death risk as we age.

High strength and muscle mass equal a better quality of life.
3. Autonomic nervous system health

What to track: heart rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate trends.

These reflect stress resilience and recovery capacity, not just “fitness.”

If you need to get your shit together in 2026, read this:
1. Stop being easily offended. If you’re easily offended you’re easily manipulated.

2. Get your body lean and healthy. Getting in shape is the lead domino that makes your entire life better.
3. Treat food as fuel for the brain and body. Put garbage in and you get garbage back. Put high quality foods in and you’ll improve your energy and mental health.

4. Sleep is your waste removal system. Prioritize it like your life depended on it.

Surprising numbers to track to see how long you'll live:

1. Body fat %
2. Bone density
3. Grip strength
4. 1 mile run time
5. Daily fiber intake
6. Resting heart rate

Here’s why 👇
1. Body Fat

Excess body fat, especially visceral fat, drives insulin resistance, inflammation, and chronic diseases.

Lower, healthy body fat means better hormones, better energy, and a longer healthspan.

Use the chart below to determine a healthy percentage % Image
2. Bone density

Low bone density increases fracture risk, loss of independence, and mortality.

You don’t “feel” bone loss until it’s too late. Strength training protects it early.

Strong bones are your insurance against aging.

After 20+ years of health coaching, here is every fat loss tip I could come up with:

1. Take 5 grams of creatine for the muscles. Take 10-15 grams of creatine for the brain.
2. To build muscle lift weights 3x a week, hitting each muscle at least 2x. Every session, add more reps or weight. Aim for an FFMI of 18.5-22 (men) or 15.5-18.5 (women)

3. To lose weight, eat at a calorie deficit of 500 or slightly higher depending on how much you have to lose.
4. Focus on 2 numbers: Calories and protein. For protein aim 30-60 grams a meal and a total of .7 to 1 gram per lbs of bodyweight.

5. Eat 3 nutrient-dense meals according to your circadian rhythms. No snacking. This improves energy and automates hunger.

Things I've learned becoming a dad at 40 years old:

1. Your health becomes the most important thing in your life. If you want a chance to see your kids grow up you need to take care of your body.
2. Lifting weights becomes a non-negotiable. This will be the difference between independence and the nursing home.

3. You can be 40 years old and feel like in your 20s if you do the right things for your body.

4. You never know how important good health is until you lose it.
5. Having children will light a fire under your ass and increase your capacity to earn.

6. Kids make you feel younger. The ability to see things through your child's eyes and how they embrace curiosity is a great way to ignite your desire to learn new things.

7 foods to avoid if you want to eliminate visceral fat permanently:

1) Alcohol
2) Fried Foods
3) Sugary foods
4) Refined carbohydrates
5) Processed meats
6) Fast foods
7) Sugary sodas

Here's why 👇🏼
1. Alcohol

Alcohol isn’t just empty calories, it's a metabolic roadblock.

When you drink, your body stops burning fat to clear the alcohol first. It also spikes cortisol, which contributes to belly fat storage.

Alcohol is the first to go if you want to eliminate visceral fat.
2. Fried Foods

When food is fried, oil gets absorbed into it, tripling the calories.

High-heat frying also creates trans fats and acrylamides both directly linked to inflammation and visceral fat gain.

Swap frying for baking, air-frying, or sautéing.
