UCSB issued an emergency warning about a large-scale police operation taking place near Girvetz Hall, South Hall and The Arbor at 12:59 a.m.
SBSO and UCPD arrived on campus at approximately 1:05 a.m.
Police have surrounded the perimeter of Girvetz Hall and have taped off the area from the entrance of North Hall to Girvetz.
The police began the raid of Girvetz Hall at approximately 2:07 a.m. after a 10 minute warning at 1:51 a.m.

Officers are equipped with riot gear and what appears to be shotguns loaded with bean bag rounds. K-9 units are also present.
At least two officers are stationed on the eighth floor roof of the library.
At least 30 police officer left campus at approximately 3:35 a.m. in UCSB Transportation Services vans. Caution tape has been removed from around Girvetz Hall.
UCSB issued a final emergency notification at 3:39 a.m. saying UCPD has concluded the large-scale police operation at Girvetz Hall.
Around 10 police officers remain stationed inside and around Girvetz Hall.
