An open protocol incentivizing the interpretation and contextualization of onchain information

2/ Vision
Our vision of the future is one of onchain literacy - with people around the world connecting via new economic opportunities.
By making Ethereum readable, we're revealing to everyone what it truly is.
Ethereum is a social network, and we're surfacing it. ⚡️
3/ Onchain literacy is freedom.
Somewhere onchain, there’s an opportunity to create meaningful connections - just like participating in DeFi in 2019, or creating the generative art ecosystem in 2020.
Yet we can’t properly navigate this world - it’s full of hexes and bits and our experience of it is very fragmented.
4/ Early Origins
4 years ago, we started along this journey as a DeFi portfolio aggregator - with the goal of surfacing your onchain assets and positions across the various protocols.
But we realized something… how will we be able to surface everything when there are 1 million apps? 100m apps?
Combined with the emergence of new important sectors and primitives such as NFTs, Onchain Social, Gaming - we knew we had to do something.
5/ Protocol
Zapper Protocol aims to solve this problem.
And today, we’re opening up the first part of the protocol - interpretation, allowing anyone to contribute and help us make blockchains readable.
Over the years, we’ve iterated numerous times attempting to find ways to open up our interpretation layer, and allowing everyone to add a new integration for a DeFi protocol, or surface human-readable transactions.
They don’t require any knowledge of code, only an insatiable curiosity for understanding what is onchain.
At launch, there will exist 2 types of interpreters: Position Interpreters and Event Interpreters, with more planned soon;
7/ Position Interpreters
Position interpreters allow anyone to add missing positions or balances to Zapper.
You can start integrating new DeFi protocols by visiting the guide here.
$ZAP will be launched in Q4 - serving as an incentive to interpret onchain information and power the entire Zapper ecosystem.

As we approach the launch, more details will be revealed - in the meantime we welcome anyone to our community that wants to help us shape the future of Zapper and the protocol.
Let’s build Zapper, together. 💜⚡️
/12 Future Plans
We plan to unveil more details as to how builders will be able to leverage human-readable data in their own applications via our new open GraphQL API. (~Q4)
As for your well beloved dashboard, expect more social features to be built on the protocol’s growing interpreted onchain dataset.

This is the last post in this thread. Be very weary of potential scams and posts claiming to issue a Zapper airdrop.
Only trust communications coming from our official X account.
On that note, it's time to get $ZAP'd ⚡️

We're excited to launch event curation, allowing you to contribute and help make onchain events understandable to everyone.
Following the recent introduction of our activity feed, users can now monitor all events occurring on Ethereum, be it through a general activity feed or their account transaction history.
While we don't currently provide full coverage for Ethereum in regards to readability, some of you might have come across the notorious "Did Something" event.
Now, you have the opportunity to aid us in understanding and curating these events!
There’s a whole new world to discover on one of the fastest growing L2’s built on top of ETH, enabling a number of new use cases and unique dApps not possible before.
Let’s take a look…
Since launching, Arbitrum has seen 482,210 individuals bridge to the network, adding up to a total of 2,047,232 ETH.
This rate of growth has been pronounced by cheap and fast transactions, with many protocols launching native to the L2.
Estimating value for NFTs is quite hard and can quickly become a pain in the rear end. 🍑
Our algorithm went for a simple approach. It gives each NFT an estimated value based on its most valuable trait and then adjusts that value based on recent market movements. 📊
For Azuki #1226, we can all agree as humans, that it looks cool af! But our algorithm doesn't know that 😢
We instead look at what its most valuable trait is and assign a value - in this case “Fire”, which was assigned a value of Ξ16.71 🔥
