me and my friends have been working on this open source project for months now - but the story is actually crazy 🧵

It all started with a hackathon project!!! At the time, me and @yxshv_ were the only ones building it. we figured most of the stuff out - even the UI - but it wasn't quite *there* yet. thousands of people used that version.
it was open source, BECAUSE it was a hackathon project

but our shitty hackathon project blew up???
we got users?
we weren't expecting this, and the app was certainly not built for serious use.

so, I decided to go back to the drawing board and redo it all. we completely redesigned the interface, the entire backend has been rewritten for better performance and to be extremely privacy focused.

but then, i faced a lot of technical challenges...

even though it took time, on nights and weekends, after coming back from my job, i would give my all.
And after one month, we're finally ready :)

admittedly, the entire product isn't done yet.
the chrome extension is under review right now,
next up, we have:
- onboarding stuff
- editor
- canvas
.. and a whole bunch of other things coming up.

but it's time to ship it 🚀

I imported all my 2000 + bookmarks and supermemory swiftly - and i can just ask it very specific questions and IT FREAKING WORKS
