🧵 There is zero excuse for any journalist to pretend they only just realized Joe Biden was cognitively impaired.
At the @nypost we have been chronicling Joe Biden’s cognitive malfunction from the start:
1. March 2020
He mistook his wife for his sister.
“They switched on me,” he tried to explain…
The truth is that anyone who has seen Biden up close knows he has some sort of cognitive impairment. He often seems bewildered, can’t remember what state he is in, if he’s running for the Senate or the presidency or even whether it’s Super Tuesday or “Super Thursday.”
On Monday, in Texas, he forgot the words of the Declaration of Independence mid-sentence, substituting “the thing” for God.
Everyone has memory lapses, but the problem for Biden is that his are all too frequent and bizarre, and the attempt to explain them away as a function of his childhood stutter are only a temporary diversion.
These are not just the tall tales and malapropisms that long have been part of the Biden persona. It’s something new.
Joe Biden’s disastrous interview with black radio host Charlamagne Tha God on Friday encapsulates everything that is wrong with the Democratic Party and its presidential hopeful.
“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, you ain’t black,” the former vice president blurted out at the end of the interview
Biden’s irritation had been building since the opening question about “your cognitive health. I don’t think everything’s working upstairs.”
The 17-minute interview descended into a series of shouted monologues from Biden, complete with “Come on, man” and “get a life” outbursts…
As we have seen with his “Hey, fat” and “lying dog-faced pony soldier” outbursts on the campaign trail, Biden is quick to anger and embellishes his achievements when challenged.
Biden’s internal filter has always been faulty, but lately it has deserted him entirely…
Nursing Biden over the finish line looks increasingly precarious for the Dems.
He might be riding high in the polls, but Joe Biden’s mental acuity increasingly is an issue in the election campaign, and growling at reporters who ask about it is no way to alleviate voter concerns.
Asked during an event with the National Associations of Black and Hispanic Journalists if he had “taken a cognitive test,” Biden snapped.
“No, I haven’t taken a test! Why the hell would I take a test? C’mon, man!”
Frowning and irritated, he paused before ripping into the reporter, Errol Barnett of CBS News.
“That’s like saying you, before you got on this program, if you take a test where you’re taking cocaine or not, what do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?” said Biden
Despite the fact that he would be 82 years old at the start of his second term, Joe Biden on Sunday declared that he would “absolutely” serve a full eight years if elected president in November.
If you remember, back in May, he answered concerns about his declining cognitive function by saying, “I will be a transition candidate.”
But in his first prime-time interview since April, on ABC’s “World News Tonight,” Biden emphatically denied he meant he would serve only one term.
“No. It doesn’t mean that.”
Then he laughed off a question about his mental fitness.
“Watch me.”
Trouble is, we’ve been trying to watch Biden all year. We don’t ever get to see him unedited or without a teleprompter, without his wife or some helper at his side.
Take the Democrats’ latest attack on the president [Trump], that his brain is addled from coronavirus treatments. That’s a rich projection from a party whose candidate is famously cognitively impaired.
6. November 2020:
After Biden shouted his way through a short teleprompter speech, Obama came back onstage, perhaps to escort him off, because Biden did not seem to know where he was.
Obama mimed an elbow pump with his former VP to signal they should leave the stage and then quietly whispered to him, after which it dawned on Biden he’d forgotten his mask, not for the first time. When your entire campaign is about mask-shaming Trump supporters, it’s not a forgivable lapse.
7. November 2020
A President Biden in cognitive decline will sooner or later be replaced by his unpopular, untested vice president, Kamala Harris.
The president already is a walking, talking parody of himself, with embarrassing gaffes and senior moments piling up, despite the best efforts of his handlers to keep him out of sight.
Now that he is president, Biden’s befuddlement and the opaque nature of White House decision-making is making voters nervous. Readers are writing in to ask who the hell is running the joint…
America is waking up to what anyone paying attention during the election campaign knew was Biden’s biggest problem, the taboo topic of his cognitive fade-outs.
More than six weeks since his inauguration, Biden has not held a press conference, or the customary first-year address to a joint session of Congress, and a Rasmussen poll this week shows that more than half of voters are worried about his ability to do the job…
Whatever his handlers are hiding, even his trusty teleprompter can’t fill in the gaps.
At the podium this week to announce two new women generals, Biden forgot the name of his secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, as well as the name of the building where Austin works — the Pentagon.
But Biden isn’t getting any younger. When he showed up to work for the first time this week, after lunch Tuesday, he was filmed wandering across the White House lawn in search of the entrance to his office.
There may be an explanation for the odd behavior, but the point is that Biden often seems to be off with the pixies.
The idea that in three years, at age 81, he would contest another election is fanciful.
He is not young for his age, and he started his presidency already three months older than Ronald Reagan was at the end of his two terms.
… Where is his cognitive test? That’s the question increasingly on American minds. It’s clear, from his often bizarre or befuddled behavior, that something is not quite right with the president, which is why 59 percent of voters want him to take a cognitive test and release the results, according to a new McLaughlin & Associates survey.
But the six-page letter released by the White House Friday night, revealing the results of his first official physical, omitted any reference to Biden’s cognitive faculties.
Hunter Biden’s lawyers move to exclude statements he made at his plea hearing because “Mr. Biden is not being charged with false statements he made under oath in connection with his plea hearing on July 26 in this Court.”
Hunter Biden’s lawyers move to exclude all references to his baby mama child support case in Arkansas and to his discharge from the Navy Reserve for cocaine use on his first weekend of duty as a mature age newbie granted an age dispensation by his VP dad.
Hunter Biden’s lawyers move to exclude any reference to his "extravagant lifestyle," including
characterizing items as "upscale," "lavish," or "fancy."
“While Mr. Biden recognizes that some of the evidence cited in the government's response may be relevant (e.g., purported drug purchases, ATM withdrawals, and purchase of a revolver), any reference to money allegedly spent on, for example, adult entertainment, online chat rooms, or escort services” is not.
🧵 New documents from IRS whistleblowers Shapley and Ziegler show that Hunter Biden lied repeatedly to congressional investigators. /1
Hunter Biden lied about his shakedown WhatsApp message to CEFC employee Raymond Zhao. These documents make clear that Hunter Biden was using his father’s name to shake down a Chinese businessman – and it worked. (He got $5m within days) And when confronted by Congressional investigators about it, he lied. /2
Hunter Biden lied when he claimed he was not the corporate secretary of Rosemont Seneca Bohai and that the shell company he established with Devon Archer and its associated bank accounts were not under his control nor affiliated with him.
“The truth is in his own handwriting, and it is in front of our Committee today, said Jason Smith, House Ways and Means chairman.
On an official Rosemont Seneca Bohai document accepting yet another foreign payment, Hunter Biden wrote, ‘I, Robert Hunter Biden, hereby certify that I am the duly elected, qualified and acting Secretary of Rosemont Seneca Bohai, LLC.’
The Committee has also obtained evidence that shows Hunter Biden was, in fact, the beneficial owner of a bank account in the name of Rosemont Seneca Bohai. /3
🧵 @nypost reported on some of these secret migrant flights back in 2021/ 2022 and the @nytimes @npr @PolitiFact etc. first ignored our stories and then trashed them without mentioning the @nypost because they knew our reporting was solid. We didn’t sit behind a desk swallowing government lies, but deployed shoe leather and eyeballs at 2am at Westchester airport. /1
The rest of the mainstream media did worse than ignore Biden’s secret migrant flights. It lied that our reporting was wrong. 2/ nypost.com/2022/06/22/the…
News12 Westchester ignored this big story under its nose. Why? 3/
🧵Bombshell jailhouse testimony today to impeachment inquiry from ex-Hunter Biden partner Jason Galanis. Speakerphone calls w. Joe Biden, incl. w. Russian oligarch Elena Baturina. Plans for Joe to join Chinese firm Harvest board. Golf course biz chat w Joe. But first, the SDNY /1
Galanis says he offered to provide prosecutors
at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern
District of New York evidence of the alleged involvement of Hunter Biden and Devon Archer in the Burnham fraud.
"The offer was rejected… My attorney at the time told me the rejection was highly irregular... because I was not asking for any reduction in the charges or sentence."
Galanis is serving 14 years in jail after pleading guilty to securities fraud over $60 million in fraudulent bonds for a tribal entity in South Dakota. Archer has been sentenced to a year's jail and two other Burnham Financial Group executives were convicted over the scheme.
Hunter was vice chairman of Burnham and earned up to $200,000, but he was deemed not to have been involved and was not charged. Archer was not asked one question about Hunter by SDNY prosecutors.
Galanis makes serious allegations in his testimony: "I realized the prosecutors in the SDNY had gone lightly on Devon Archer and had not indicted
Hunter Biden at all, despite then-available
documentation that we were partners... I believe the SDNY’s prosecution strategy was intended to protect Hunter Biden, and ultimately Vice President Biden."
On June 9, 2023, the Bureau of Prisons in California approved Galanis to serve the rest of his sentence in home confinement. On June 13, one day after the House Oversight Committee announced it would subpoena Devon Archer, Galanis home confinement approval was reversed.
"I understand from a former high-ranking Bureau of Prison official that SDNY prosecutors aggressively weighed in with the Bureau of Prisons staff to oppose my release. As a result of this DOJ intervention, I was denied home confinement," Galanis testified today /3
The servile Australian government - under Liberal PM Turnbull - allowed itself to be used for US domestic political dirty work. And it's not the first time. Remember the encryption backdoor? This discredits the whole Five Eyes operation and will end up placing Australians at risk.
Also, Alexander "fishnets" Downer got a pass for what he did with @GeorgePapa19. He jeopardized Australia's relationship with the US. President Trump was furious and it took fancy footwork - and a lot of golf - by Ambassador Joe Hockey to smooth things over.
‼️ In a new court filing today, the DOJ confirms Hunter Biden’s laptop is real, that he left it at a computer store, and that the contents matched what they obtained from a search warrant of his iCloud.
Don’t hold your breath for a retraction from Joe Biden (“It’s a Russian plant”), the #Dirty51 or myriad dishonest media operatives. They blamed Russia when the Bidens knew it was Hunter - and so did the FBI.
Hunter also blamed Russia when he was caught using adultery site Ashley Madison.
Special counsel David Weiss’ prosecutor Leo Wise has been busy today. Multiple filings including new evidence about his allegedly illegal gun purchase while addicted to crack cocaine for which he is being prosecuted in Delaware after his sweetheart plea deal fell apart:
More evidence presented by the DOJ: On October 13, 2018, and October 14, 2018 (the day after and two days after he purchased the firearm), Hunter said in a text message that he was meeting a drug dealer and sleeping in a car smoking crack.
