🧵The bill should be going for Royal Assent shortly (passed almost four weeks ago).
HOWEVER : bill states that most of the provisions in the Act “come into force on such day as the Scottish Ministers may by regulations appoint.”

This basically means that once Royal Assent is given, it's up to the Scottish Government when they intend most of the provisions within the Act to come into force. No timescale from them yet. Hopefully more clarity when assent is given soon.(2/3)
Women's health minister @jenni_minto said "it is vital that these zones are implemented, and the protections afforded by the Bill are felt by women and staff across Scotland quickly. The Bill is following the standard Parliamentary process to become law." (3/3)
