1/ I've written tons about Romney the businessman/private equity investor. But a different story:

Before he was Mass. governor, but after he had run for Senate, I helped out on a @CityYear project in Roxbury. We were working to help a small school rebuild its playground.
@CityYear 2/ Romney, a longtime supporter of the program who arguably saved it at one point, was there too.

No cameras. No reporters (I wasn't one yet).
@CityYear 3/ A group of us spent an enormous amount of time digging and moving what seemed like a boulder (or at least a *very* large rock), to make room for swings. Lots of dirt. Lots of sweat. Pretty miserable.

Romney was with our group.
