a big reception for VP Kamala Harris in Milwaukee

Harris begins with comments on Biden: "Joe's record of accomplishment over his entire career and over the past 3.5 years is unmatched in modern history. In one term as president he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who served two terms."

HARRIS: "So Wisconsin, I am told as of this morning that we have earned the support of enough delegates to secure the Democratic nomination."

CROWD: *wild cheering*

"I know Donald Trump's type" -- Harris makes the "prosecutor vs. felon" case against Trump, which is so well received by the crowd that they break into "KA-MA-LA! KA-MA-LA!" chants

Harris: "As AG of California I took on one of our country's largest for-profit colleges that was scamming students. Trump ran a for-profit college that scammed students. I specialized in cases involving sexual abuse. Trump was found liable for committing sexual abuse ... "

Harris: "We believe in a future where every person has an opportunity not just to get by, but to get ahead. A future where no child has to grow up in poverty. Where every worker has the freedom to join a union. Where every person has affordable healthcare, childcare ... "

Harris on Project 2025: "Can you believe they put that thing in writing?"

Harris is quite quite good at this. even CNN is impressed.

Oh my goodness, this Wall Street Journal piece about Trump's ailing health that includes an interview with him (gift link). There are a number of ridiculous details in it and I'll put a few of them in this thread. (1/6) wsj.com/us-news/as-sig…

Trump admits to taking more aspirin than his docs recommend: “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?”

The piece doesn't directly address what's going on with Trump's black hand, but says he has delicate skin that causes him to bleed constantly

Maria Bartiromo on a weaker than expected February jobs report: "The jobs picture is weakening. Weaker than expected jobs again in the month of February tells you that the Fed is gonna cut rates!"
