The “Cell block one” scene seems to reference this 1997 photo of Milla Vovovich.
Why? The rabbit hole goes deep… 🧵👇
Recall this scene occurs when Kendrick raps, “Say Dr*ke, I heard you like em young” and “better hide your little sister from him.”
Milla Jovovich is a fashion model and actress. She’s best known for her roles in Fifth Element & Resident Evil.
However, Jovovich was “discovered” at age 11 by Jean-Luc Brunel and began her career as a model in the 80s and early 90s while still a minor.
In 1999, Jean-Luc Brunel was banned from his agency following a BBC undercover report on abuse in the fashion industry, and then moved to the US and founded MC2 Model Management with funding from Jeffery Epste*n.
In December of 2020, Brunel was arrested, accused of r*pe of a minor and under investigation on suspicion of supplying underage girls to Epste*n.
Two months later, he was found dead in prison, hanged, just like Epste*n.
Here’s Jovovich talking about her experiences in the modeling industry as a minor.
A few other possibly relevant details:
Jovovich was briefly married at age 16 to a 21 year old man (though the marriage was annulled by her mother two months later)
Jovovich was set to appear in “Welcome to America,” a film about s*x trafficking (ultimately the film would become “Trade” and would not star Jovovich)

Shortly after wrapping our full season on LEMONADE, Beyonce released the stunning film Black Is King. We originally planned to do a single bonus episode, but that turned into three, which then ultimately turned into this seven episode mini-series.
We brought back the Season 6 team including co-host @dr_tsho, co-writer Maggie Lacy, and we even brought on S5 writer @oluwafemio. Extremely excited to share this special series and put the spotlight back on this unprecedented piece of sonic cinema.
The song is produced by Beyonce & Derek Dixie, her longtime collaborator who served as music director for Homecoming and co-producer of many Bey songs.
Black Parade was released on June 19 or Juneteenth. On this day in 1865, Union troops announced the end of slavery in Galveston, TX, the last state to receive word.
This day may hold extra significance for Beyonce, as her mother was born in Galveston & they grew up in TX.
