You can see the distress on people’s faces as they hear confederates (basically researcher plants) confidently give the wrong answer, one after another. /
The “real” study participant (who doesn’t know the other participants are in cahoots with the researchers) will give the (wrong) answer that matches what others have said before them. EVEN IF they clearly don’t believe that to be the case /
I would be interested to see this replicated comparing Autistic and allistic individuals, to see who would be more likely to conform to the incorrect answer, although I have an idea of what the results would be…
