I am an anti-Zionist Jew inside the Christians United for Israel conference near DC, July 28-30 2024. I made this account anonymous because CUFI retaliates against critics who make it inside. But I need to tell the world what I’m seeing

CUFI is an antisemitic, anti-Palestinian, Christian nationalist movement. The 10s of millions of Christian Zionists nationwide are the backbone of US support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza, apartheid & occupation - and there are 100s million more worldwide truthout.org/articles/progr…

This morning a powerful interfaith coalition sang songs of ceasefire and peace in the lobby. CUFI shut the conference doors & rerouted attendees trying to get in, delaying the program by half an hour

Then Pastor John Hagee took the stage. Hagee calls himself friend of the Jews but he & millions more only support Israel to bring the End Times, when Jews & Palestinians will be forced to convert or face eternal hellfire motherjones.com/politics/2023/…

My friends disrupted his speech several times- a powerful diverse group of activists, including pastors calling for end to genocide. They were surrounded, yelled at, forced to the ground, dragged out. The rage was palpable

Here’s one powerful pastor and a group of white Christians saying ‘stop the genocide…God loves all his children’. Notably, they weren’t dragged to the ground like many others

Hagee told the crowd to surround disruptors “screaming at the top of your lungs ‘Israel lives’….we shut them down to nothing flat…I love a good fight, I have to say.’ Someone near me chanted ‘Fight! Fight!’- Trump’s slogan after his assassination attempt, now a mantra

Then Hagee outlined his messianic vision. “Our world is watching the birth of world war 3”, and later repeated “judgment day is coming” to raucous applause. God gave Israel to the Jewish people and “his judgments are over all the earth- that includes from the river to the sea”

CUFI claims to ‘pray for the peace of Jerusalem’ but “calling for a ceasefire before Israel wipes out Hamas,” Hagee said, “is ridiculous.” Then he drew a horrifying parallel- the US nuked Japan for “total victory” & Israel needs “total victory” too. Raucous applause

Finally he called on Congress to “give Israel the weapons of war and the money it needs to crush Hamas…do it! Do it now!” This is a warmongering conference

The next speaker made clear the war they yearn for, may come very soon. A leader at the neocon think tank Foundation for Defense of Democracies, he said he was checking his phone constantly before the talk anticipating an Israeli strike on Hezbollah

“We may be at the cusp of very dramatic events in Israel and the entire Middle East- and I hope we have the fortitude wisdom and strength to defeat our enemies and deter them from ever attacking us again”
