Last night in Aurora, Colorado, groups of Venezuelans took over the streets, blocked traffic, and shot firearms after the elections were announced in their country. There were reports of assaults, thefts, and a police car being shot at. A local Aurora Councilwoman posted multiple pictures to her FB and relayed complaints from local citizens. 1/2
Local media has been relatively quiet about the actual situation.
This is only going to get worse as thousands more unvetted illegal aliens flood into the US. Even those under asylum are lightly vetted at best.
I'm at the Colorado State House to testify against the horrible Senate Bill 25-276. This bill solidifies sanctuary status. There are a lot of open-border and illegal immigration advocates here. They just cut the testimony to 2 minutes!
This is how far left the State of Colorado has gone. They have a picture of their “savior” Harry Sisson in the staind glass. /not Harry/
Here is what would have been my full testimony had it been granted the 3 minutes.
Good afternoon, members of the committee.
My name is John Fabbricatore, and I am a former ICE Director for the Denver Field Office and one of the founders of SAFE Colorado. Over the course of my career, I have witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of failed immigration policies and misguided legislation that put politics ahead of public safety.
During my tenure, I deported dozens of illegal alien murderers, hundreds of drug traffickers, and countless gang members. I’ve responded to horrifying cases of human and sex trafficking, all driven by the greed of transnational criminal organizations. These are not abstract problems or faceless statistics. These are real people committing actual crimes, impacting real communities. I still remember arresting nearly 70 heroin dealers in a single operation, all illegal aliens. It was an operation that could have saved countless lives, but I then watched in disbelief as local politicians disbanded the Heroin Task Force because ICE was involved. The message was loud and clear: saving lives was less important than political posturing.
I stand before you today, to express my unequivocal opposition to Senate Bill 25-276. This bill is not about civil rights, as its supporters claim. It is about shielding criminal illegal aliens under the guise of virtue signaling. This is a reckless piece of legislation born out of open-border extremism from Democrat lawmakers who have chosen foreign-born criminals over the safety of United States citizens.
There are people in this state, including the Governor, who deny that Colorado is a sanctuary state. But that is a lie. This bill proves it. It builds upon already codified sanctuary laws, doubling down and tying the hands of law enforcement even further. Senate Bill 25-276 prioritizes protecting criminal illegal aliens over the safety of the communities you claim to represent.
And I ask you, how many more United States citizens have to die? How many more crimes must be committed against our people before you acknowledge the consequences of these policies? I fear the answer is none because your goal isn’t the safety of the citizens of this country. Your goal is to make Colorado the epitome of a sanctuary for illegal immigration, regardless of the cost.
We cannot allow political agendas to supersede the duty to protect our communities. Leaders are elected to serve the people, their fellow citizens, not foreign criminals who exploit and endanger us. It is time to put an end to this dangerous and destructive sanctuary policy and prioritize the safety of our own citizens.
The issue of sanctuary cities goes beyond just politics and immigration policies. This has a direct impact on society as a whole. When we allow illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds to roam freely in our communities, it puts everyone at risk. Beyond criminal illegal immigration, any person present in violation of immigration law is subject to the laws of this nation.
This is not a partisan issue. This is about public safety. It is about prioritizing the well-being of law-abiding Coloradans who should not have to suffer because of the failures in leadership and accountability that this bill represents.
Numerous crimes are occurring in Colorado, concealed for political reasons. Criminal "gangs" are said to have seized control of multiple apartment complexes in Aurora, with local management allegedly receiving minimal assistance. Conversely, local media denies these allegations, attributing the issues to code violations. I have correspondence from the apartment management. What do you believe is happening? 1/2

More to follow as I get the documents. @dobetterdnvr is also doing a great job of highlighting these issues. They have great video and information regarding this issue.
Here is a letter from APD from last year when crime rates began to increase in this locality. Despite claims that "crime is supposedly down," it's important to note that this incident occurred in just one complex within this area. Document goes into second comment 1/2
