‘#BroadcastingServicesBill: Digital License Raj’ #MustRead 🚨
Are you someone who broadcasts news, talks about current affairs on any social media intermediary? Then an inspector might show up at your door without prior notice. You could end up paying lakhs in fines and facing years of imprisonment.
A must-read #Thread to understand how the ‘Digital Bulldozers’ are getting ready to bulldoze you👇

#ContentBacho #KillTheBill #StopBroadcastBill
Before we get into the draft bill, try to understand how bad things are moving forward 👇
For the second draft, a few selected stakeholders were asked to collect their individual copies of the draft and give an undertaking that they would not share it.
What is so secret about this bill that the govt is going to the extent of individually watermarking copies shared with a few and not putting it up in the public domain?
(2/N)
Not just content creators, but even content consumers who tweet, reply, or comment on any current affairs are considered broadcasters and are reportedly mandated to register with the govt.
Definitions reportedly introduced for ‘Digital News Broadcaster,’ ‘Professional,’ ‘Systematic Activity,’ and other terms in the bill are so ambiguous & vague that everyone now falls under it.
(3/N)
After potentially including everyone as a ‘Digital News Broadcaster,’ the bill gives the govt the right to inspect without any prior notice and seize your digital belongings with no questions asked.
Imagine, out of nowhere, an officer landing at your doorstep in the name of inspection & taking away your phone, laptop, etc. That’s how horrible this is!
(4/N)
It doesn’t just end here.
The govt reportedly gains the complete right to have your content deleted, prohibit its transmission, direct channels to go off-air, and impose hefty penalties and imprisonment!
(5/N)
Summarizing in short, after reviewing this ‘Secret Draft Bill,’ it is evident that,
• Everyone who discusses current affairs on social media must register. • The bill extends compliance to everyone, giving the govt full control over your posted content and shared opinions. They can mandate deletions, apologies, or even force you off-air if they choose.
Ultimately, the goal seems to be to make everyone, apart from those who dance to their tunes, stay away from commenting on politics and current affairs.

New Circular Alert: Imposing Hindi in EMRS #MustRead 🚨
NESTS (Ministry of Tribal Affairs) has issued a circular to all EMRS Principals & States, with one clear goal: Push Hindi on tribal students.
From mandating a dedicated Hindi Room to making all teachers responsible… this is nothing short of cultural imposition.
Read 👇 (1/N)
“Teaching Hindi is not only the responsibility of the language teacher, but also of other teachers of the school.”
So the govt now wants Math, Science, Social teachers to act like Hindi instructors too? What kind of absurd directive is this?
Why should every subject be hijacked for a Hindi-push? Why assume everyone wants to learn Hindi? This fetishisation of one language is nothing but forced imposition.
(2/N)
Note: Even the whole circular is in Hindi. Attaching the English translated version alongside.
“Dedicated Hindi Room in every school”
The govt now orders EMRS schools to set up a Hindi Room, with a big blackboard, portraits of Hindi authors, literature, even TV & tape recorders, all to glorify Hindi.
But why? What madness is this?
If there’s any language room in a tribal school, it should celebrate the tribe’s own mother tongue or the state language, not Hindi imposition.
‘Hindi Imposition’ is not what you think. The real victims? They can’t even speak up. #MustRead 🚨
The debate you're seeing all over India about ‘Hindi’ isn't the real pain point. In fact, it's distracting from what actually matters.
From a tribal child in a forest village to a first-gen student chasing a govt job, it's their future that's getting crushed, quietly.
It’ll take you 2 mins to read this, but it’ll change how you see the whole issue👇
(1/N)
Take Telangana for instance,
There are 23 functional Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS). They have recruited 46 JSA & 478 Teaching/Non-Teaching staff. Out of 46 JSAs, not a single one is from Telangana. Among the 478 staff, except for Telugu teachers, almost none are locals.
Why? Here's the catch. To become a teacher at EMRS, for any subject, qualifying a Hindi Language Test is mandatory. Even if you're applying to teach Physics or History, you’re disqualified if you don’t clear a Hindi test.
Can someone explain why a brilliant science teacher from a non-Hindi state must know Hindi to get the job? This is how we lose top talent in Maths, Biology, Geography just because they don't speak the 'right' language.
This is what Hindi Imposition looks like, quiet, unfair & devastating to thousands of deserving candidates.
(2/N)
But the problem runs deeper,
The entire purpose of EMRS is to ensure tribal students in remote areas get quality education, in an environment they can relate to.
Now imagine this:
A teacher, posted from a far-off Hindi-speaking state, arrives at a tribal school in Telangana. They don’t get Telugu. Their English isn’t strong either. How will they teach? How will they connect. It’s not just a language mismatch, it’s a cultural disconnect.
Wouldn’t it make far more sense to appoint teachers who understand the local language, culture, and struggles of these students? Isn’t that the only way to truly fulfill the mission & vision of EMRS?
It’s deeply unfair to the young tribal girl in the classroom, confused, disconnected & left behind. This is what Hindi Imposition really looks like
‘400 acres of Hyderabad’s Wilderness Is being Destroyed – This needs National Attention’ #MustRead 🚨
400 acres of thriving wilderness in #Hyderabad, home to 734 plant species, 220 bird species, deer, pythons & centuries old trees, is on the verge of destruction.
Everything you need to know about what’s happening in #Telangana 👇
In the silence of midnight, bulldozers rolled in ₹ started tearing down 400 acres of forest. Bright lights cut through the darkness, engines roared & trees torn like they never existed.
Wild animals ran in fear. Generations of life destroyed in just hours. A cruel attack on nature.
All for what? ‼️
(2/N)
Dragged, Lathicharged, FIR 👇
Look at how the students of #HCU are being brutally treated for peacefully protesting against the inhuman act.
The craziest part? The remand report says the students were allegedly carrying deadly weapons while facing hundreds of police officers on campus.
‘#Devolution & #Delimitation: How South India’s Success Became Its Biggest Loss’🚨
Let’s understand in simple terms 👇
The population share of southern states has significantly declined ⬇️ from 26.2% in 1951 to 19.8% in 2022, a result of effective population control measures.
Now, let’s see how this has turned into a disaster for South India 👇
(1/7)
The 15th Finance Commission has reduced states' share of central taxes from 42% to 41%. The adopted formula gives 30% weightage to area & population, with 15% each.
A major shift: The 2011 population data is now used for tax devolution instead of 1971 data.
The result? 4 out of the 5 biggest losing states are from South India, clearly showing how the South is losing its fair share!
(2/7)
Telangana alone has lost ₹25,000 Cr as a share in Union Tax from FY 2020-21 to FY 2025-26 due to the 15th Finance Commission's formula.
Similarly, Karnataka has lost a staggering ₹70,000 Cr in the same period.
Is this not unfair devolution? Why should South India be penalized for its progress?
States that have heavily invested in medical education, such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka, are at a MAJOR LOSS!
Supreme Court has now ruled that residence-based reservation in PG medical courses is impermissible.
Read below to understand everything about this 👇
(1/N)
So, what exactly is happening?
Currently, 50% of total medical seats fall under the state quota, which is typically reserved based on domicile. This is because states have heavily invested in building medical infrastructure.
However, if domicile based reservation is removed, everyone who has completed MBBS in a state, including the All India quota candidates, will be eligible for this 50% state quota.
Importantly, A Telangana student who studied 1 to 12 in Telangana & MBBS in some other state is now INELIGIBLE for the State Quota PG Medical Seats in Telangana as per the Judgement.
This means that even within the reserved state quota, candidates from outside the state can study here & then leave to work elsewhere. The entire purpose of reserving these seats to improve the quality & availability of doctors within the state is now lost.
(2/N)
Not to forget, the new NMC guidelines prohibit the establishment of new medical college seats in South India, simply because these states are already performing well.
But is it fair that states like Uttar Pradesh, with a population of 23.5 crore, have only 9,703 seats, which is 14,000 less than the norm, while others must bear the consequences of their inefficiency?
‘Telangana is bleeding & needs national attention’ 🚨
A ₹1,50,00,00,00,000 project is leaving over 20,000 households homeless. One of the largest demolition drives in the country! 💔
#MustRead Thread 👇 (1/7)
Musi River beautification project cost: Previous govt initiated the project with an estimated budget of ₹16,634 Cr & successfully completed 100% of the sewage treatment at a cost of ₹3,866 Cr, without demolishing a single house.
After Congress party came into power, they revised the estimate to ₹50,000 Cr, then to ₹70,000 Cr, and now to a staggering ₹1,50,000 Cr.
Project cost is changes from ₹16,634 Cr to ₹1,50,000 Cr without even starting the work. Just wow!
(2/7)
With no clarity given to the people of the state and no clear vision explained, Congress govt has started identifying & bulldozing the homes of the poor. They have officially estimated that over 15,000 households will be demolished, but one can only imagine how high the count is unofficially.
Listen to the pain of this man, his wife is 9 months pregnant, and all he has in this world is this single home. Now, out of nowhere, officials are preparing to demolish it.
