‘#BroadcastingServicesBill: Digital License Raj’ #MustRead 🚨
Are you someone who broadcasts news, talks about current affairs on any social media intermediary? Then an inspector might show up at your door without prior notice. You could end up paying lakhs in fines and facing years of imprisonment.
A must-read #Thread to understand how the ‘Digital Bulldozers’ are getting ready to bulldoze you👇

Before we get into the draft bill, try to understand how bad things are moving forward 👇
For the second draft, a few selected stakeholders were asked to collect their individual copies of the draft and give an undertaking that they would not share it.
What is so secret about this bill that the govt is going to the extent of individually watermarking copies shared with a few and not putting it up in the public domain?
(2/N)
Not just content creators, but even content consumers who tweet, reply, or comment on any current affairs are considered broadcasters and are reportedly mandated to register with the govt.
Definitions reportedly introduced for ‘Digital News Broadcaster,’ ‘Professional,’ ‘Systematic Activity,’ and other terms in the bill are so ambiguous & vague that everyone now falls under it.
(3/N)
After potentially including everyone as a ‘Digital News Broadcaster,’ the bill gives the govt the right to inspect without any prior notice and seize your digital belongings with no questions asked.
Imagine, out of nowhere, an officer landing at your doorstep in the name of inspection & taking away your phone, laptop, etc. That’s how horrible this is!
(4/N)
It doesn’t just end here.
The govt reportedly gains the complete right to have your content deleted, prohibit its transmission, direct channels to go off-air, and impose hefty penalties and imprisonment!
(5/N)
Summarizing in short, after reviewing this ‘Secret Draft Bill,’ it is evident that,
• Everyone who discusses current affairs on social media must register. • The bill extends compliance to everyone, giving the govt full control over your posted content and shared opinions. They can mandate deletions, apologies, or even force you off-air if they choose.
Ultimately, the goal seems to be to make everyone, apart from those who dance to their tunes, stay away from commenting on politics and current affairs.

States that have heavily invested in medical education, such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka, are at a MAJOR LOSS!
Supreme Court has now ruled that residence-based reservation in PG medical courses is impermissible.
Read below to understand everything about this 👇
(1/N)
So, what exactly is happening?
Currently, 50% of total medical seats fall under the state quota, which is typically reserved based on domicile. This is because states have heavily invested in building medical infrastructure.
However, if domicile based reservation is removed, everyone who has completed MBBS in a state, including the All India quota candidates, will be eligible for this 50% state quota.
Importantly, A Telangana student who studied 1 to 12 in Telangana & MBBS in some other state is now INELIGIBLE for the State Quota PG Medical Seats in Telangana as per the Judgement.
This means that even within the reserved state quota, candidates from outside the state can study here & then leave to work elsewhere. The entire purpose of reserving these seats to improve the quality & availability of doctors within the state is now lost.
(2/N)
Not to forget, the new NMC guidelines prohibit the establishment of new medical college seats in South India, simply because these states are already performing well.
But is it fair that states like Uttar Pradesh, with a population of 23.5 crore, have only 9,703 seats, which is 14,000 less than the norm, while others must bear the consequences of their inefficiency?

A ₹1,50,00,00,00,000 project is leaving over 20,000 households homeless. One of the largest demolition drives in the country! 💔
#MustRead Thread 👇 (1/7)
Musi River beautification project cost: Previous govt initiated the project with an estimated budget of ₹16,634 Cr & successfully completed 100% of the sewage treatment at a cost of ₹3,866 Cr, without demolishing a single house.
After Congress party came into power, they revised the estimate to ₹50,000 Cr, then to ₹70,000 Cr, and now to a staggering ₹1,50,000 Cr.
Project cost is changes from ₹16,634 Cr to ₹1,50,000 Cr without even starting the work. Just wow!
(2/7)
With no clarity given to the people of the state and no clear vision explained, Congress govt has started identifying & bulldozing the homes of the poor. They have officially estimated that over 15,000 households will be demolished, but one can only imagine how high the count is unofficially.
Listen to the pain of this man, his wife is 9 months pregnant, and all he has in this world is this single home. Now, out of nowhere, officials are preparing to demolish it.
The most notorious scam of recent times. Take a moment to go through the thread below to understand 👇
ST welfare fund, intended for the upliftment of Tribes, is allegedly used for the upliftment of Congress Party MP candidates in Telangana elections

On May 26th, 2024, Chandrasekharan, superintendent at Valmiki Corporation, ended his life, leaving behind a death note that mentioned the misuse of large sums of funds within the corporation.
Imagine the gravity of the crime when a 48 year old felt he had no other option but to take his own life, unable to bear the immense pressure from powerful figures. This tragic event is what brought the entire scam to light.

Important ‼️
On 30/03/2024, Corporation requested the Bank to create a Fixed Deposit of ₹50 Cr for a tenure of 12 months. Bank proceeded & created FD.
On the very same day, Corporation requested an overdraft facility against the ₹50 Cr FD, which the Bank approved & opened.
Also, on the same day, Corporation transferred ₹40.10 Cr to 8 beneficiaries with RBL Bank in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, followed by an additional ₹4.5 Cr transfer on 23/04/2024.
Ministry of Tribal Affairs for Ekalavya Model Residential Schools has recently recruited 707 JSAs & 7,702 Teaching/Non-Teaching Staff across the nation. Out of 47 JSAs appointed for Telangana, 44 belong to just one state, Haryana, & none from Telangana.
The situation is similar in other southern states. You’ll hardly find anyone from #SouthIndia in the whole staff list. The problem is much bigger than you might imagine. Take a few minutes & go through this thread 👇
(1/N)
In #Telangana, there are 23 functional EMRS. A month ago, 46 JSAs & 478 Teaching/Non-Teaching staff were recruited. Out of the 46, 44 are from Haryana, with none from Telangana. Out of the 478, excluding Telugu teachers, there are hardly any from Telangana.
Before discussing the consequences, let us understand why there are hardly any from South India 👇
(2/N)
The primary reason why, despite applying in thousands, South Indians failed to get selected is 👇
Qualifying the Hindi Language Test is MANDATORY to become a teacher at Ekalavya Model Residential School for all subjects. Can anyone explain the logic behind why a candidate from a non-Hindi speaking state aspiring to be a Physics teacher must qualify for the Hindi Language Test?
Aren’t we losing the most potential Physics, Biology, Maths, Chemistry, History, Geography, etc. teachers from South India just because they do not know Hindi?
Put aside your political affiliations for a while & read this thread 👇
Acc to documents accessed by the OCCRP, #Adani Group purchased 'low-grade' coal from an Indonesian company at a cost of $28per tonne. The same shipment was then sold to Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Company as high-quality coal for $91.91 per metric tonne.
It is estimated that TANGEDCO overpaid ₹6,000 crore for coal from all vendors between 2012-16
(1/5)
Now that a state govt power company has ended up paying more money, do you know who is going to compensate for it?
• This overpricing has implications for ordinary Indian citizens, who end up paying higher bills.
• The much bigger issue is that burning lower-quality coal causes more pollution, which was responsible for over 1.6 million deaths in India in a year.

Tweeting about this a month ago, Rahul Gandhi said, “After June 4, INDIA Alliance govt will investigate this mega scam & account for every penny looted from the public.”
Now that you understand the problem, keep reading to find out what is happening in Congress-ruled Telangana 👇
‘#Coalgate: Modi Govt's strategic attempt to kill public & govt owned entities’ #MustRead #SaveSingareni 🚨
As you read this, #NDAGovt is launching its 10th round of Commercial Coal Mines Auction for 60 Coal Blocks today in Hyderabad, including blocks in Telangana.
In simple terms, auctioning coal blocks is similar to owning the hospital but leasing all the beds to private players. Know what’s happening👇
(1/5)
Let's understand the motives behind these auctions:
• In 2015, govt auctioned two coal blocks: Gare Palma IV/1 fetched a bid of ₹1,585/tonne, while Gare Palma IV/7 fetched ₹2,619/tonne. Both bids were subsequently cancelled, citing the first bid as too low & the second for violating certain conditions.
• Re-auction took place in 2020. The first block, containing 159.4 million tonnes of coal, was sold for ₹342.25/tonne, significantly lower than the ₹1,585 bid in 2015. The second block was sold for nearly 60% less than its previous bid in 2015.
Isn’t the loss of publicly owned entities benefiting private players through these auctions?
Add on: A private company that contributed ₹25 crore via Electoral Bonds on 7th Oct 2022 won the Gare Palma IV/6 coal mine auction on 10th Oct.

“Not privatization, just auctioning": Union Minister Kishan Reddy.
Now, Modi Govt is auctioning blocks in #Singareni, which is essentially an attempt at complete privatization. As mentioned, when you own a hospital but lease out all the beds, what do you actually own?
Visaka Steel Plant is a prime example of their conspiracy towards eventual privatization. The plant was deliberately pushed into losses through various means. Bailadila iron ore mines were handed over to Adani's company, contributing to VSP's losses. Efforts were underway to sell it off.
However, as the people of AP voted for regional forces who are now playing a key role, they have been able to safeguard the interests of the state.
