The Ukrainian Armed Forces used their last reserves at the border with the Kursk region, and after their destruction, Russian troops will be on the final stretch of their special military operation, according to the commander of the special forces "Akhmat," Apty Alaudinov. He added, "No one is likely to stop us further."

As of 20:00, according to the latest report from the Kursk command, the enemy plans to deploy second-echelon forces to engage the covering group and advance towards the Rylsk-Sudzha line to expand their tactical foothold. Ukrainian Operational Command "North," previously stationed along the Belarusian border, is among the forces involved in this direction. Fighting continues to push the enemy from their positions.
"The situation on the border is tense, there is fighting on the border. I ask you not to create panic. Ask for help in the administration of your settlements, or the administration of the Kursk region. We will all come to the rescue," Alexei Smirnov, acting governor of the Kursk region, said.
Russia reportedly pulled up reserves to the Kursk region in an attempt to stabilize the situation.

As of 22:00 on August 6, 2024, the situation on the Kursk front is dire. The enemy has penetrated into the Sverdlikovo area and is expected to launch a stronger attack tomorrow morning. The most dangerous situation is north of Sudzha, where Ukrainian forces are amassing and likely to attempt to enter the city. Intense fighting, artillery shelling, and drone attacks are anticipated. Residents in the area are urged to evacuate if possible, as the conflict will not end quickly.

SitRep - 07/08/24 - Day #2 into the Kursk operation
An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The AFU managed to advance deeper into the Kursk region, showing presence as deep as 20-25km inside Russian territory.
The Kursk operation continues. In this thread I will cover all events happening in this particular area today.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have liberated the settlements of Dar'ino, Sverdlikovo and Gogolivka according to Russian sources. Honcharivka and Oleshnya are also said to be taken by UA forces but this is not confirmed (Honcharivka looks unlikely still).
Russian sources claim strikes are carried out on Ukrainian concentrations in/near Makhnovka, which is just south of Sudzha and would confirm that Ukrainian forces have made more ground gains there, and the advance has not just stopped at the villages from previous post.
