In their "Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy", @SurreyPolice state that the protected characteristic of "gender reassignment" (Equality Act 2010) is an "outdated term". Their preferred terminology is "gender identity". @_Lisa_Townsend

The Govt's Public Sector Eq Duty Guidance is VERY clear that authorities should not use concepts such as "gender identity" in their policies

We call on @SurreyPolice to amend their policy so that it is in line with the Equality Act 2010 and PSED guidance
