"Since the morning, there has been a battle between the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the Kolotylivka border crossing of the Belgorod Region”
After that, the governor announced the evacuation of the Krasnoyaruz border.
Ukrainian forces have advanced in the Kursk region despite Russia's claims of stabilizing the situation, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Russian forces reported active fighting near the border.
“For two hours, the enemy has not given up trying to break through our defensive line in the area of the village of Kolotilovka. Enemy tanks are working in a carousel along the checkpoint. An artillery duel is underway. Border guards and armed forces have accepted a firefight.”
Confirmation of Ukrainian presence in Zhuravli, east of Korenevo. Since yesterday, the AFU has stepped up offensive actions to flank Korenevo and advance north of this area. It is likely that Kremyanoe and Kalinov, which are located in the close vicinity of Zhuravli, do not hold any Russian presence.
Finally, Russians are out of coping as well. After we already declared Sudzha to be fully taken two days ago, after the AFU took Makhnovka and thus encircled Sudzha, Russian channels also confirm the loss.
“Despite the ongoing debate in the media about whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces took the regional center of Sudzha "half-heartedly" or completely, I can now say for sure, based on the facts and information at my disposal, that Sudzha is unfortunately under enemy control.”
Ukrainian forces have captured parts of the Kursk region for the long term and do not intend to leave, according to Forbes. The publication suggests that this area could become another major front in the full-scale war. The withdrawal of Russian troops from other parts of the front may be long-term, if not permanent, which would be highly beneficial for Kyiv.
⚡️A Ukrainian BTR-4, reported by Russian channels, driving through Giri’, 17km (!) east of Plekhovo which is considered the current front line east of Sudzha. It shows how deep Ukraine is currently operating already, and shows that previous reports by Russians indeed indicate that Ukraine has pushed deep inside the Belovskyi district. Previously, Ukrainian units were also reported in Borki and Spal’noe, a little bit west of Giri’.
China is closely monitoring the situation in the Kursk region and urges "all parties" not to escalate or expand the conflict, according to the Chinese MFA. The ministry also stated that they promote a political resolution to the "Ukrainian crisis." fmprc.gov.cn/fyrbt_673021/2…
The "Black Swan" UAV unit of the 225th Separate Assault Battalion destroyed a Russian military truck in the Kursk region.
In Dar'ino, Ukrainian soldiers from the 225th Separate Assault Battalion removed the Russian flag from an administrative building after clearing the area. The settlement was among the first to be taken by the AFU.
"Radio Svoboda" released satellite images showing damage to the Sudzha gas metering station in Russia's Kursk region. The station, which is a key point for gas transit to Europe, has suffered destruction to its administrative buildings and the area housing measurement equipment.
In the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces control 44 settlements, with the status of 10 more currently unknown, according to DeepState.
President Zelensky reported on a briefing by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi about Ukraine's defensive actions at the front and operations in the Kursk region. Syrskyi noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces currently control around 1,000 square kilometers of Russian territory.
Sudzha, despite Russian claims, firmly in Ukrainian hands.
A Russian Ka-52M helicopter pilot mistakenly fired on his own column, resulting in the loss of two 152-mm 2S19M2 "Msta-S" self-propelled howitzers. Despite this incident, many Russian channels spread posts with photos claiming to have destroyed a column of four Ukrainian vehicles in Kryvytski Budy, Kursk region.
BRAVO team in Sudzha, Kursk region.
In the center of Magadan, pro-Russian "Z-patriots" held a march called "For Kursk and Belgorod." During the event, participants called on Putin to launch a nuclear missile at Washington.
U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham described Ukraine's operation in the Kursk region as "bold, brilliant, and simply beautiful." He urged the Biden administration to provide Ukraine with all the necessary weapons to "win a war that cannot be lost."
East of Korenevo, heavy fighting is going on in Vetreno, Aleksandrovka and Tolpino according to Russian sources.
I haven't seen such a big panic in russian channels in a long time. Contradicting each other's information, under or over exposing situations and especially the fear that ukraine is actually breaking through.
entertaining.
Ukrainian Su-27 operating on the border near Sumy
Ukrainian MP Roman Kostenko recorded a video in which he asks the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, for permission to go on a "business trip" to the Kursk region.
😆
In the Kursk region, General-Colonel Alexei Dyumin, an assistant to the President, will coordinate the actions of the Russian Armed Forces with law enforcement agencies and local authorities. He received instructions from the Supreme Commander and may have already arrived in Kursk.
This circulating video does not correspond to reality.
Today near the village of Giri’ in the Sudzha area, Ukrainian forces launched an attack using armored vehicles and motorized infantry, advancing over 20 km from Sudzha, reaching positions east of Giri’. Looking at the footage, they got repelled. But it shows and confirms that Ukraine is operating far from the current front line. Borki and Spal’noe, west of Girki’, could very well be under UA control. Yet all is still very fluid and unclear.
