Fans are calling for Becky Hammon to be fired after STUNNING messages with Dearica Hamby are revealed 😳

A thread 🧵 Image
During a phone call between Coach Hammon and Dearica Hamby on Jan. 15, 2023, Hammon asked her whether she planned her pregnancy.

When Hamby responded that she did not, Hammon told Hamby that she was not taking proper precautions not to get pregnant. Image
During that same call, Hammon questioned Hamby’s commitment and dedication to the team, telling her that she was a ‘question mark.’ Image
Hammon further stated that the Aces “needed bodies,” and that Hamby wouldn’t be ready to play in time for the start of the next season. Image
In response, Hamby assured Hammon that she was committed to the team, would be giving birth during the offseason, and anticipated being fully ready to play by the start of the 2023 preseason. Image
During the same call, Hammon accused Hamby of signing her contract extension knowingly pregnant, a false accusation which Hamby denied. Image
Hammon then informed Hamby that it was believed by the Aces staff that Hamby would get pregnant again for a third time.
Hammon accused Hamby of not taking her offseason workouts seriously.

Though 7 months pregnant at the time, Hamby was working out regularly as permitted by her medical doctors including playing basketball and doing regular Pilates and calisthenics workouts. Image
Hammon went on to tell Hamby that she did not hold up her end of the bargain and that no one expected her to get pregnant again, implying that by signing the contract extension, Hamby implicitly agreed she wouldn’t get pregnant. Image
The Aces proceeded to trade Dearica Hamby to the Los Angeles Sparks.

This season, she’s averaging 19.4 points and 10 rebounds. 💯 Image
Looks like it was Becky Hammon’s loss in the end… Image

Was Andre Iguodala a Warriors-double agent?

After the Warriors' shocking upset of Iguodala’s Nuggets in the 2013 Playoffs, rumors have swirled that Iggy was feeding the Warriors intel to help them win.

Here’s everything you need to know about this wild conspiracy theory: Image
In the 2013 playoffs, the 6-seed Warriors beat the 3-seed Nuggets despite losing Game 1 and All-Star David Lee to injury.

While Steph Curry played a major role in this upset, breaking out as a future superstar, there were rumors of other contributing factors… Image
To put it gently, Steph Curry was roughed up by the Nuggets.

It was so bad that then-Warriors coach Mark Jackson was forced to address it in a post-game interview.

This interview is where the conspiracy theory took off. Image

Chet Holmgren isn’t the first highly-touted prospect to miss their rookie season.

You might be surprised to learn that a number of the NBA’s brightest talents have also suffered a similar fate.

How did a former $72M NBA center turn into a drug lord?

While some players retire and begin second careers as businessmen or TV analysts, seven-year NBA vet Nikola Peković turned to the world of crime.

Here’s what we know about his new underground life:
Peković was drafted with the 31st pick in the NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Widely considered a top ten talent, Peković fell in the draft because he was under contract with the Greek club, Panathinaikos.
As a result of this contract, Peković wouldn't make his NBA debut until the 2010 season.

His rookie season left something to be desired as he only averaged 5.5 PPG and 3.0 RPG.

Rob Gronkowski is a 4-time Super Bowl champ, 5-time Pro Bowler, and maybe the most criminally underpaid athlete of all time!

Gronk earned $70M during his 11-year HOF career, meanwhile, Draymond Green another 4-time champion is currently making $100M on his four-year deal:
When it comes to NBA contracts, the money is just different.

And if you find yourself in a contract year and a well-timed salary spike, things can get silly.

Just ask Timofey Mozgov.
The 2016 NBA salary spike changed a lot of team's fortunes, and not all for the best.

The spike allowed Golden State to add KD to their championship roster, meanwhile, the Lakers decided to throw a 4-year, $64M contract at Timofey Mozgov.

Dame’s $39.3M salary last year brought him a staggering $3.3M/month, $550K/game, & over 11 grand per minute!

Despite earning over $328M in NBA salary in only 10 seasons, Dame’s made so much from endorsements, rap, & investments that he hasn't touched a dime of contract money!
Dame has revenue coming in from all sorts of directions, but couldn’t live more humbly.

In fact, Dame was still using his college teammate’s Netflix account YEARS into his NBA career.

It doesn’t matter that he brings in millions in endorsements alone, Dame is that dude!
Coincidentally, it’s that attitude and low-key demeanor that makes Dame feel so relatable and has helped him become one of the most likable and marketable superstars in the league.
