MetaMask Card allows you to make purchases directly from your wallet, with your crypto instantly converted to fiat currency (e.g., euros, pounds). You can use it for everyday spending via Apple Pay and Google Wallet, retaining full control of your funds until the moment of transaction.
The partnership leverages the scale of Mastercard’s network, the security of MetaMask and Baanx’s extensive experience building technology and card programmes, backed by the speed and cost-efficiency of the @LineaBuild network running on top of Ethereum.
Because this is a grand new adventure, a select number of users in the EU and UK will be the first to experience seamless crypto spending directly from their MetaMask wallet, wherever Mastercard is accepted.

Keep an eye on your MetaMask Portfolio and look for the ‘Card’ tab over the next few weeks to see if you are eligible.

Some time ago, @Danfinlay had an idea to build a platform that invites the developer community to build their own solutions to the hardest problems in web3, without MetaMask’s approval.
This idea was the start of a vision to build a permissionless ecosystem in which any developer can build a feature for MetaMask and anyone can install and use it, customizing and enhancing their web3 experience.

If you've bridged tokens to the Optimism network using MetaMask Portfolio, you might be eligible for rewards as part of Socket's OP rewards initiative.
Their incentives program has been active since August 2nd for users interacting with bridge aggregator Socket to bridge funds to the Optimism network. You can read more about the program here:

Starting today, extension users will see an updated experience when creating a new wallet, as well as an update in their privacy and security settings.

We have updated the 🦊 extension to maximize the control you have over your data.
When creating a new wallet, users can click on “Set advanced privacy settings” to change their RPC providers and toggle features that send requests to third party services that help with phishing detection and identifying incoming transactions, among others👇
