Trump: "We don't have energy. And they're getting set for the AI because they're gonna create so much electricity and we're not gonna be able to do it, but you'll do it if I have it. Because that's an emergency."
thread got broken here but if you want to scroll through the rest of it, start with this tweet 👇

Tim Walz in Los Angeles: "Can you simply picture Donald Trump working at a McDonald's making a McFlurry or something? He couldn't run that damn McFlurry machine."
Walz: "Who do you know who's asking to cut taxes on billionaires while stiffing working people? I don't know anybody. And I'll tell you what. I think there are a lot of people that think he's on his side that when you put it to them like that they start thinking differently"
Walz: "These guys are even attacking me for my record of service. And i just want to say -- I'm proud to have served my country and I always will be ... and I firmly believe you should never denigrate another person's service record ... including my opponent."
JD Vance on Trump dining with white supremacist Nick Fuentes, who made racist comments about his wife and Trump has never fully disavowed: "The one thing I like about Donald Trump is he actually will talk to anybody, but just because you talk to somebody doesn't mean you endorse their views. Donald Trump has spent a lot of quality time with my wife. Every time he sees her, he gives her a huge, tells her she's beautiful, and jokes around with her a little bit."
Vance on ABC struggles to defend his comments about giving parents extra voting rights as a mere "thought experiment" and not something he seriously meant
JD Vance is stumped by a question about his favorite historical vice presidents: "I haven't thought much about that. I think George W Bush -- excuse me, George HW Bush did a very good job as vice president. You could pick a number of guys who have done a perfectly fine job."
JD Vance on CNN on the "weird" allegations: "Certainly they've levied that charge against me more than anybody else ... I accept their attacks, but I think it is a little bit of projection." (Note that Dana Bash doesn't really buy his "projection" talking point.)
BASH: Trump didn't serve in the military. He received a medical draft deferment for bone spurs to avoid serving in the Vietnam War. Do you find that shameful too?
JD VANCE: I think that Donald Trump didn't serve in the military, but he didn't lie about it
BASH: Would a Trump/Vance allow mifepristone to continue to be sent around the country?
"This is a ticket that would want this county to go communist immediately if not sooner ... he's very heavy into transgender. Anything transgender he thinks is great ... I think it's very insulting to Jewish people" -- Trump on Fox & Friends on Harris/Walz
"I heard she's sort of a nasty person" -- Trump on Kamala Harris
Trump on Fox & Friends: "I think that any Jewish person who votes for a Democrat should have their head examined."
I'm going to put together a thread covering the Trump rally in Atlanta, Georgia. Follow along for clips and commentary.
