Hello Hotwire is a free course with premium build-along modules for developers who want to explore Hotwire using Ruby on Rails from a fresh perspective.
I made this course after stumbling my way through learning Hotwire on my own.
The docs are helpful but a bit agnostic to Rails specifically. Hello Hotwire was born out of need.
Hotwire combines the statefulness many JavaScript developers love with the more sane models and conventions that Ruby on Rails enthusiasts prefer.
You'd be a good fit for this course if you've used Rails before but haven't yet dabbled in the Hotwire features. If you're brand new to Rails, check out the sister course called Hello Rails ().hellorails.io
Here's what you'll learn
When to use Hotwire
How to install Hotwire
Understanding Turbo, Frames, and Streams
Morphing
Lazy loading content effectively
Pairing Stimulus.js with Turbo-enabled Rails apps
Bridging the gap between native mobile apps with Hotwire and Strada
Creating this course was a blast, and I even created a little course framework using home-grown tools (@railsui_) to make it easy to digest.
If you give it a shot, let me know what you think. I hope it's helpful!
