Analysis on "Suicides in the Russian Army" PART II
Not so long ago, 100 cases of suicides of 🇷🇺Russian soldiers on the territory of 🇺🇦Ukraine were documented. In this tread you can read a detailed analysis of this phenomenon
Would be grateful if you share this post
In total, I documented 105 such cases
▪️ 67 - committed with firearms (AK)
▪️ 36 - blew themselves up with a grenade
▪️ 1 - used a knife
▪️ 1 - decided to lie down near the fire...
If we talk about the frontline areas where they did this, we get the following:
▪️ Donetsk region - 65
▪️ Luhansk region - 14
▪️ Zaporizhzhia region - 12
▪️ Kharkiv region - 9
▪️ Kherson region - 5
Each of these regions can be divided into certain sectors
If we talk about the Donetsk region, the trend of increasing suicides continues here (~62% were committed here), especially in the Chasiv Yar and Pokrovsk sectors
Here 🇷🇺troops are conducting active offensive actions and suffering heavy losses
The first documented suicide of a Russian invader is dated 23rd November 2022.
Interestingly, 81 such cases have already been recorded since the beginning of 2024, which is three times more than at the end of 2022 (3) + 2023 (21)
And 2024 is still ongoing...
When we talk about why the Russians are doing this
1. Hopelessness that their comrades will rescue them. The Russians always say that they will not abandon their own, but it turns out that they often do.
2. Propaganda scaring them about torture in captivity
Summer Festival of Suicides⛱️
The number of suicides increased the most during the summer.
Over 3 months, 41 such cases were documented (39% of the total)
June - 1 suicide every 2.3 days
July - 1 suicide every 2.2 days
August - 1 suicide every 1.9 days (in 27 days)
''Destroying the enemy is a craft, but making him shoot himself is an art''
An interesting fact is that Russians committed suicide in 2024 (in 240 days)
1 suicide every ~3 days
❗️For comparison, in 2023
1 suicide every ~17.4 days
I would like to give you a small top list of the units that filmed the most suicides
🧵| «Clear Sky» Operation or Russian Air Defence Systems on fire
After the United States officially provided ATACAMS ballistic missiles, Ukraine has been actively launching them at Crimea, especially at positions of Russian air defence systems
Retweet = appreciated ❤️
According to some information, the 31st Anti-Aircraft Missile Division of the Russia based in Crimea was destroyed (damaged) by 80%
It includes 12th, 18th Missile Regiments and 3rd Radio Engineering Regiment
Base points are the cities: Gvardiyske, Sevastopol, Dzhankoi, Feodosia, Kirovske.
The main means of defeating these systems are ATACMS operational-tactical ballistic missiles, RK-360MS cruise missiles Neptune and strike UAVs
/1. I would like to share soldier’s story about that battle.
In the morning there was shelling from BM-27 Uragan, so we immediately understood that the Russians would attack us. We took an observation post and waited for them.
/2. It was relayed on the radio that the Russians were running across the road, which means that they are close and literally in 5-10 minutes I have already seen them as they run at a distance of 10-15 meters, I stood and shot them like in a shooting range.
/3. A group of Russians attacked on the approach, I shot some of them, those who survived ran to the trench of a nearby position. Ukrainian soldiers were wounded there after shelling, and the Russians finished them off.
On January 4, 2024, a large-scale attack was carried out on the territory of Crimea.
At 17:00, 10 cruise missiles Storm Shadow were approaching the airspace of the Crimea.
At 17:12, a one missile struck on an object in village Uiutne, near Yevpatoriya. The target was the radar unit of the 31st Air Defense Division of the 🇷🇺Russian Aerospace Forces.
❗️As a result of the strike, the radar and communications center were destroyed, 3 soldiers wounded
At 17:18, a strike was struck on an object on the territory of the city of Sevastopol.
The target was the protected command post of the 31st Air Defense Division of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
As a result of the strike, 12 servicemen of the Russian Aerospace Forces were killed and another 9 were injured.
In total, more than 80 soldiers were trapped under the rubble. Among the lists of the dead, one serviceman with the rank of “GENERAL”, however, his last name is not indicated
(this refers to rumors about the death of Gerasimov, although I believe that these are just rumors)
🕯️| Tragic story shared by a defender of Avdiivka.
🇺🇦Ukrainian Bradley IFV commander with call-sign «Kach» of the 47th Mechanized Brigade told how they advanced into battle.
He took his comrades to the assault. They fired at Russian positions, after which the 6 infantrymen dismounted from the Bradley and went into assault
Afterwards the Bradley had to exit the combat zone to resupply.
It had only been 15 minutes since the infantry squad dismounted when «Kach», while on the way to the base was informed that 5 soldiers from that group were killed, one more was seriously wounded...
Just imagine that 15 minutes ago you were talking to your friends, relatives, and after they are no longer alive…😢
🇺🇦Ukrainian soldiers successfully landed and established a position on the left bank of the Dnipro river.
Part of the village Krynky was liberated from the Russians and right now the bridgehead is being expanded
This thread is about how it was👇
1/X
Let's start with the fact that units of the 137th Marine Battalion carried out offensive actions in this area
Since October 11, the Ukrainian soldiers are on the Left Bank of the Dnipro.
On October 14, a massive attack on Russian positions began. I want to note that it was a very unexpected surprise for the Russians.
2/X
At 6:00 a.m., soldiers started assault on the village Krynky, the Russians did not expect this and paid for it, 4 invaders who were having breakfast were killed immediately.
The rest of Russians ~25 ran into the forest near village.
