Two papers that convinced me that the best early treatment for COVID is sunlight and why (a thread):

Sunlight's photons are more than 50% infrared. Infrared light passes through the body very easily (even through bone). As seen in this picture: Image
This means that infrared light can "touch" just about every cell in your body. When this happens, spike protein induced inflammatory cytokines are reduced and anti-inflammatory cytokines are induced. Proof:
(This journal is in the top 25%)
mdpi.com/2076-3921/12/1…
The article states, "Our results showed a dramatic reduction in pro-inflammatory cytokines within days of NIR light treatment, while anti-inflammatory cytokines were upregulated."

This was an in vitro study. What we need to show benefit in a randomized controlled study...
Here is a randomized blinded placebo controlled study on 30 humans with covid-19 with inclusion criteria admitted to the hospital given 15 minutes/day of NIR at 940 nm for 7 days published in a high-impact factor journal. Results were astounding: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
NIR group had faster recover of oxygen, could take deeper breaths, larger volumes and had more lymphocytes at the end of 7 days. They also WERE DISCHARED FROM THE HOSPTIAL A FULL 4 DAYS SOONER. Image
Of course, I had to do this myself the next time I or one of my patients got sick with COVID: Here's that story. Amazing:
If you think people should see this please report the original post (found below). I think this is a cheap, non supply chain dependent, accessible way of mitigating COVID early. Nothing is 100% but if you don't try it it will be 0%
My think evolved. We could see early on that Vit D levels were low in those that did poorly. We supplemented with Vit D with mixed results. I became convinced after reading Zimmerman and Reiter's 2019 publication:
that vit D was simply a marker.melatonin-research.net/index.php/MR/a…
The real heavy lifting was being done by NIR (near infrared radiation). Interestingly, trees are highly reflective of near infrared light. Image
New study out today that when 8000+ trees were planted in a 4 square mile space in an inner city, the CRP levels of the population dropped by 13%! That's basically the equivalent of exercise. GET OUTSIDE. ESPECIALLY AROUND TREES!
Look, you know that when even the dermatologists are considering a "re-think" that the evidence has to be compelling...

For those that want bigger studies
All cause mortality associated with more sun exposure in dose dependent fashion:

N = 30,000

and

N = 300,000pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26992108/

All cause mortality goes up as sun avoiding behavior goes up

High body temperature shuts down SARS CoV2 replication. Paper: we’ve been talking about this since the pandemic. Try not to treat fevers.
Thanks to @TomNob7 for sharing.

Here’s the skinny;

We didn’t neglect it. MedCram viewers had it from the beginning. Image

Pulmonary endothelial cells coat the inside of the blood vessels in the lungs and prevent the exposure of vWF to blood which causes clotting. COVID kills these cells, releases vWF causing blood clots. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
Interestingly, type of blood typically has the least amount of vWF under the endothelial cells.

Covid rates were lowest and more mild in type O blood

Therefore, it would seem to make sense that the majority of the damage in COVID-19 that’s causing hypoxemia is the damage to Pulmonary endothelial cells. It seems likely that this is being caused by oxidative damage from taking out the enzyme ACE2. The receptor for SARS CoV 2

Remember that H5N1 has already made the jump from birds to mammals. It’s in 6 different dairy farms in the US. The jump from birds to cows is bigger than the jump from cows to humans.

While rare, mammals can be infected with highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) A(H5N1) (“H5N1 bird flu”) viruses.cdc.gov/flu/avianflu/m…
Sorry it’s now 16 farms. Not 6.

Connect these dots:
Plant based or Pescatarians have less chance of getting severe C-19:

Interferon response inversely determines severity of C19:

Interventional vegan diet increases interferon in subjects:

Not buying health user effect here. Last study was RCT cross over study and there was consistent highly statistical results despite diverse subject pool.
Add to that the fact that giving a subcutaneous injection of interferon reduced hospitalization in C19 by 50% in a RCT published in NEJM.

Fever, which is part of the innate immune system elevates the secretion (among other things) of interferon (a broad antiviral) as seen in this experiment. It's why I rarely will treat a fever unless the patient is at risk for seizures or is tachycardic (fast HR). Image
This was done in a hot bath from 106-113 F (41-45C). Note: hot tubs only go up to 104. Would NOT recommend doing this alone if you choose to so this: Passing out in a tub of water can be deadly.

I'll never forget when my Polish grandfather-in-law (not Jewish) took me on a tour of Auschwitz I where he was imprisoned in Block 11 (on the right). He was released after his mother bribed the guard but failed to turn up to the war front and was hunted down but escaped.
He didn't like to talk about it, but it was the most surreal thing to hear from a person who was actually there telling us (in Polish) what happened. Here's what he said:
1) They would line up everyday for 3-4 hours while they took role call (in front of that famous gate).
2) He could hear people being shot at the firing quad just outside his window and see the blood on the snow after they took the bodies away
