For example, if Karthick sees a gaming skin he wants on a Polygon CDK chain but needs to swap ETH to MATIC on Polygon zkEVM first, he can do it all in one smooth transaction. No more multiple bridges—just one seamless experience.

This means fewer bridges and a unified UX that allows cross-chain transactions in seconds. Polygon’s AggLayer is simplifying what used to be a nightmare for users and making it feel like a single, interconnected environment.

The first component of AggLayer is live, but Polygon Labs isn’t stopping there. The next step, expected later this year, will focus on speeding up finality and the synchroniser to run messages between chains faster than ever.
