Today, I attended a press conference at the apartment complexes where national and local media have falsely reported that gangs have taken over.

Instead, we heard from residents who debunked this narrative and called out the slumlord responsible for forcing them to live in inhumane conditions.

This is a thread of what I saw and heard.

Here is an abandoned apartment, and tenants report that these are the living conditions they are forced to endure while paying between $1,700 and $2,000 per month.

Then TRUMP supporting agitators came to continue the exploitation of this community for likes on TikTok, one of whom was armed.

Overall, this community was exploited by Aurora Mayor @AuroraMayorMike & @DaniJurinsky for political gain to support @realDonaldTrump this November. These apartment complexes aren’t being taken over by gangs, they have been exploited by a slumlord who is forcing these individuals to live in inhumane conditions.

This isn’t a “democrat” issue. Aurora is ran by the @GOP their failed policies have led to these horrific living conditions.

Even the police department that is subjected to a consent decree for their racist practices against Black folks admit this narrative about a “gang takeover” is FLASE.
