1/6 Source: Hamas head cam/chest cam and mobile phone video footage. Hamas terrorists took hours of footage during the slaughter of 7th October. I can’t, nor want to describe the horror of every single piece of footage that I saw.
2/6 I hope you’ll understand the depth of depravity from this example because I won’t speak about any others, however, I will say that the violence and depravity I witnessed was beyond all comprehension.
3/6 What I saw: 3 Hamas terrorists entered a room, two young girls (maybe 12, maybe younger) hiding under a table protecting their puppies.
4/6 The terrorists had a very calm and nonchalant open conversation about who or what was to be killed first as if they were picking something out in a supermarket.
5/6 A decision was made by the terrorists to execute the little girl, they murder her by execution, then they realise that the other little girl who they thought was already dead was injured but still alive, then a debate happens on whether they execute her or the puppies first.
6/6 Then they murder her by execution and the puppies.
What I felt:
Numb, angry that I wasn't there to stop them.
What I think:
I think about the fear those girls went through before their murder and know that I will see that scene for some time to come.

1/13 The IDF aren’t just fighting Hamas, they are fighting Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah and anyone else supporting the mission to destroy Israel. This is the most complex and demanding operational environment of our time.
2/13 Overground the IDF finds that most buildings are rigged with booby traps and IEDs, think about the booby traps and IED’s we encountered in Iraq. Provided by Iran, they are precise, deadly and very reliable killing devices.
3/13 The tunnels range in size accommodating trucks, small vehicles and people. Inside there is accommodation, holding cells for hostages with an infrastructure to provide water, electricity and communications, this environment has been very well planned, circa 20yrs.
1/6 Mal was the chief instructor of CRW (Anti-terror Team). Mal recognised that the Regiment needed better body armour and equipment, i.e. ballistic shields and protective helmets.
2/6 He had contacts in LAPD who had started to make and use Kevlar. He was subsequently sent a 'ballistic' shield and helmet from America. 'Mal donned the helmet, "Geordie, shoot at this helmet" Laughing, I said, "Not a chance, Mal"
3/6 Mal placed the helmet on the ground and subsequently shot it with a solid shot round from a Remington shotgun.
2/12 I wrote my Military memoir in response to a couple of Military memoirs which covered parts of my escape. An escape that I was on by myself so you can see why I took issue with that.
3/12 My Military memoir wasn’t a kiss and tell. No one was shagged, no necklaces broken, and no one fell in a dog bowl.
