As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours, reported by the Ukrainian General Staff. We add visually confirmed destroyed or damaged losses.
An overnight missile and drone attack was mostly repelled.
Ukraine attacked Russia in its rear, namely Moscow region and several other regions.
Russia lost a tank and two IFVs during an assault on Ukrainian positions in the Kharkiv region.
Airstrikes on Russian positions
A big explosion happened in a large Russian metallurgic plant.
Satellite images confirmed the destruction of an ammunition depot in the Voronezh region.
Lets continue with the general events. Zelenskyi is reportedly working towards a unilateral roadmap that could end the war by fall.
After months of delay, the White House finally submitted a strategy for the war in Ukraine. This was a requirement as part of the $61 billion aid package passed in April.
There are first signs that the US will soon lift the ban on striking inside Russia with US supplied long-range weapons. The same would go for British supplied Storm Shadow missiles.
Words stated by a US House official strengthened these assumptions.
Pressure from Republican congressmen is also rising.
The Biden administration is now actively working on lifting the restriction for Ukraine to strike inside Russia with long-range weapons. Finally.
Sanctions against Iran are to be introduced soon.

Kursk region

It seems that Russian forces have started a counterattack in several directions. Check out all events from today in this thread
Russians attacked from Korenevo towards Snagost with a fairly big mechanized column. The outcome of the attack is unclear, but some UA sources already confirmed the situation slightly worsened due to more Russian presence.
Situation in the Kursk region as of today.

➡️Area under AFU control near Korenevo is reduced. Video footage shows Russians freely moving towards Snagost'.
➡️According to Russian sources, more attacks are underway towards Gordeevka (border crossing) and Vnezapnoe and Apanasovka. Image
Vuhledar direction

➡️After there was some ambiguity about the fate of Vodyane yesterday, there is now clarity: Russia is occupying the village. This is confirmed by video footage.

The situation near Vuhledar now looks like this, which is pretty critical. Image
Pokrovsk direction

Russians have advanced into Hrodivka, capturing most of the eastern part of the town. It is very likely that Ukrainian forces retreated behind the Zhuravka river, using it as a natural barrier of defense. Image
Krasnohorivka direction

➡️The last AFU resistance in Krasnohorivka was broken by Russian forces, they are now moving west towards the Kurakhivka-Hostre-Kurakhove triangle. Image

In the Kursk region, the AFU has taken Naydenov and is attacking toward Kamyshevka. Geolocated images shared by Russian sources confirm that Ukrainian troops, presumably -given the Russians' striking pattern- coming from the south, have moved into the village and are advancing toward Kamyshevka.
