SitRep - 12/09/24 - Ukraine counter-counterattacked in the Kursk region.
An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine pulled a new move, and is now attacking Russia in its rear in the Kursk region.
Lets continue with the general events. The US granted Raytheon a contract to provide AMRAAM missiles for countries including Ukraine worth almost $2 billion.
Early today, we saw promising messages in regards to lifting restrictions imposed by the US on Ukraine to strike deep inside Russia with US supplied long-range weapons.
Even worse, it might look like only UK/French supplied Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG can be used for strikes inside Russia for now. The US is still scared for Putin's 'red lines' which never ment anything in previous threats.
To the front line situation. For the latest state of affairs at the front, I advise you to consult my interactive map.

Kursk region. A lot of things happened today. Russians recapturing settlements but also Ukraine striking in another direction. Check out the whole thread here
Despite lots of claims, Russians thus far have only recaptured two villages, geolocated footage confirms. All other villages are just rumours without any evidence to back up these claims.
The latest situation in Ukraine's new attack in the Kursk region looks like this. The AFU breached the border, went east and north and captured Obukhovka, an adjacent settlement of Veseloye. Russians are really stressing.
Russians have started attacking towards Hostre, as shown earlier in this thread. Likely the area which is now under Russian control, was abandoned some time ago to avoid encirclement.
Thanks for today, a new SitRep tonight. But may I ask you something?
