K-12 school districts across the country have implemented policies or plans that base the hiring and retention of teachers and staff on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Our report details how school districts are using ideological screening and race-based preferences in the hiring and retention processes.
We obtained the non-public information needed to compile the list through public records requests.
Common hiring priorities, often referred to as “culturally competency” or “cultural proficiency,” are used to justify the elimination of applicants who do not adhere to DEI and or social justice ideology.

🚨UPDATE: Emails FOIA’d by @DefendingEd from Mount Pleasant High School in Rhode Island show that the assistant principal knew she was raising money for human traffickers and was aware that student’s family was in danger.
Nothing in the emails indicates that law enforcement was ever contacted. Rather, the assistant principal opted to try and fulfill the demands of the human traffickers:

Instead of focusing on addressing this matter, a school board member was angry about the PR nightmare it had turned into and wanted the school district push back against the “right-wing extremists” reporting on it.

Wichita Public Schools (WPS) in Kansas has a gender support plan used for students that appears to show that the gender identity of students can be kept secret from their parents.
The plan asks:
“Who will be the student’s ‘go to’ adult at school?”
WPS also has a training presentation for staff titled “LGBTQ+ Students: Pronouns and More.”
The presentation asserts that “schools are hostile places for LGBTQ+ students.”
