The Taiwan-Israel #Pager collusion goes into the books as the deadliest semiconductor espionage & corporate sabotage the world has ever seen. It reveals a dangerous intersection of technology, geopolitics, corporate terrorism & separatism.
2/ In a shocking revelation, Middle Eastern sources say that #Taiwan's corporate semiconductor industry and #Israel have colluded to manufacture explosive-fitted pagers specifically the Gold Apollo AR-924 manufactured by Gold Apollo Co., Ltd in New Taipei City, Taiwan. #Pagers
3/ Tens of thousands of these pagers Made in Taiwan were sent to #Lebanon where they were used extensively in hospitals for doctors and by civilians owing to Lebanon's weak internet infrastructure which necessitated the widespread use of these pagers extending to Syria. #Pagers
4/ The pagers, allegedly altered during manufacturing process in Taiwan were fitted with explosive devices targeting would be users' 🇱🇧🇸🇾 doctors & nurses with the exception of the American University of Beirut hospital whose staff were asked to replace their #pagers 10 days ago.
5/ The devastating harm caused by the #Pager espionage is nothing short of a corporate terrorism. With over 17 dead, the youngest being a 9 year old girl, and with over 3,000 injuries, there is just no plausible explanation for such explosive power from a standard pager mishap.
6/6 Given the reports coming from the Arab and Muslim world, Taiwan's alleged collusion with Israel to produce deadly pagers fitted with cyber-activated explosives has shattered its trust with the #Muslim world losing billions in bilateral trade & services with the Muslim world.

1/ 🧵 Debunking #TrumpTariffs on "67%" charged to the US by China
Trump claimed that China is imposing a 67% #tariffs on imports of US goods. The 67% is not a tariff at all, it is a misrepresentation of US trade deficit with China, not a reflection of Beijing tariffs against US.
2/ The claim that China is imposing a 67% tariff based on Trump's calculation is not only incorrect, it also fundamentally misrepresents how trade & #tariffs function in the global economy. The 67% is a basic expression of trade imbalance. The actual 🇨🇳 tarrif 🇺🇸 is 7.5% not 67%.
3/ Trump took America's total trade deficit with China from 2024, which stood at a hefty $295.4 billion, and divided it by the total value of US imports from China, $438.9 billion. That gave him 0.6729, which he then multiplied by 100 to get 67.29%. He didn't stop there!
1/ 🧵 After three years in digital exile — it was TikTok that carried #Trump back to the White House for another term last month. But before he’s even sworn in, the 🇺🇲 president-elect is already threatening #BRICS with 100 tariffs. Keep in mind #TikTok is a #BRICS media platform.
2/ After Trump's 2020 defeat, the 2021 #January6th followed — leading to Trump being digitally exiled for his role in the events. Banned from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, he lost access to the very platforms that had been the launchpad for his rise to the presidency in 2016.
3/ Social media giants left him digitally muted, unable to address his supporters while legacy media amplified anti-Trump narratives. Then came #TikTok the very app Trump sought to ban during his presidency, but it became the platform where his supporters kept his message alive.
1/🧵 South Korea was never truly independent. Most of its presidents have met grim ends — overthrown, impeached, imprisoned, or assassinated. Recent events remind us of the legacy of Japanese occupation that left East Asia divided. This explosive thread explains all. #SouthKorea
2/ Japanese imperialism once dominated East Asia, creating divisions among its neighbors. The lingering effects of this division are still felt today with tensions of unresolved historical grievances between South Korea, North Korea, China & Japan — benefiting Western interests.
3/ During the Japanese occupation of Korea (1910-1945), Japanese rule left a deep scar on Korea — its brutal colonial policies exploited Korea’s resources & sought to erase its culture, its KGP leaders in exile, ultimately leading to Korea's division after Japan's defeat in WWII.
1/🧵 VW: A global powerhouse brought to its knees by tariffs! The #Xinjiang plant — a production facility & a test track, once the symbol of #Volkswagen's expansion into the world’s largest auto market — will be handed to Shanghai Motor Vehicle Inspection Certification (SMVIC).
2/ The Volkswagen divestment spells out the culmination of years trade wars against China & geopolitical tensions. These measures subjected Volkswagen to significant compliance risks: scrutiny & pressure; fear of potential sanctions ultimately led to its divestment from Xinjiang.
3/ It was never about human rights. If that were the case, it certainly wouldn’t be the concern of the US — the most brutal regime with the most human rights violations since the end of World War II. It is about trade protectionism: cutting China off from the Transatlantic trade.
1/ 🧵 Israeli F-35 fighter jets took off from Hatzerim, Ramat David, and Ramon Air Bases after receiving authorization to use Jordanian and US-occupied Iraqi airspace. They reached a point just 70 km from #Iran's airspace, where #Israel conducted strikes against Iranian targets.
2/ All that talk about Israel's planned strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities was proven to be a nothing-burger thud after Israel's embarrassing attacks last night despite two casualties. it’s clear 🇮🇱 lacks the necessary capacity & capability to win a showdown against Iran.
3/ It's hard to imagine how Israel's aggression against Iran can go on without involving #Iraq #Jordan, or #Syria. Moreover, Israel would have to overcome subterranean obstacles to cripple 🇮🇷☢ facilities — obviously it just can't fly over Iran ☢ facilities to drop bunker bombs.
