In 2023, I realised a signature on a gov department register could be that of a man who once faced charges with alleged #28s gang boss #RalphStanfield. That man was murdered in #CapeTown. Now, separately, an accused in the Malusi Booi/Stanfield tenders case was shot dead. A 🕸
In February 2023 City of #CapeTown official Wendy Kloppers was murdered at a housing project in Delft. She apparently did not give in to the demands of #gangsters wanting contractors’ work. #constructionmafia #WesternCape
In March 2023, Ernest McLaughlin was murdered. He once faced charges linked to gun licences with Stanfield (this case is apparently no longer). It was McLaughlin's apparent signature I spotted on a gov doc in November last year. Look at how it links to other curious things:

Same month as McLaughlin was killed, March 2023, then City of Cape Town human settlements mayco member Malusi Booi's office was raided in an investigation in which Stanfield's name cropped up. (Booi basically denied wrongdoing.)
September 2023 #RalphStanfield and Nicole Johnon were arrested in a car theft and fraud case that’s grown to involve more accused and accusations. Some of the additional charges linked to new accused is about the Wendy Kloppers murder.
November 2023 Stanfield’s cousin Noor is murdered in Cape Town.
Fastforward to this month. September 2024. City of Cape Town’s former human settlements mayco member Malusi Booi is among 10 suspects arrested in a R1bn unlawful tenders case. State alleges Stanfield and Johnson headed this criminal enterprise.
Booi and his co-accused are released on bail this week on 17 September. Two days later, one of those accused, Abdul-Kader Davids, is murdered in Mitchells Plain. Shot dead.
The Booi and co case may be merged with the Stanfield and co case.
If that happens, it means that while 1 of Booi’s co-accused has been fatally shot, he will be facing charges alongside an ex-colleague, and alleged gang boss Stanfield, as well as individuals suspected of having murdered Kloppers, another of his ex-City of colleagues.
While the above killings may not necessarily be linked - and while there may be different motives behind each - the violence paints a terrifying picture of #SouthAfrica's #gangsterism capital, the #WesternCape
Accusations, denials, and the above killings aside... residents are waiting for homes – more than 600,000 are reportedly in line for council houses in the Western Cape, 350,000 are in Cape Town – and children are among the innocent victims getting caught in gang shootouts.
