Rep. Tlaib made no mention of Attorney General Nessel’s Jewish heritage. She suggested there were “possible biases” against pro-Palestinian voices in her office, based on her decision to charge the protestors.

These false allegations against @RepRashida follow a National Review publishing of a racist cartoon depicting Rep. Tlaib as a Hezbollah member on Sep. 19.

Jake Tapper has shared a statement from Michigan Governor Whitmer.

Without naming Tlaib, Whitmer asserts “the suggestion” attributed to Tlaib “is antisemitic” and we “must call out hateful rhetoric & racist tropes.”

Tapper did not issue a clarification of his own false statements.

CNN’s Dana Bash also repeated the false claim earlier this afternoon & condemned Whitmer for not calling out Rep. Tlaib sooner.
