While the Ethereum community struggles with an identity crisis, Crypto x AI rightfully emerges as one of the leading verticals.
At Token 2049, I realized how big the ecosystem is, so I built a map with some interesting projects.
We can break the crypto x AI ecosystem down into four categories: 1) Compute 2) Training 3) Infra and data 4) Applications
It's arbitrary but generally resembles some common AGI frameworks.
----
💻 Decentralized compute
There are quite a few crypto x AI teams that create networks of distributed GPUs: @gensynai, @fluence_project, @akashnet_, @hyperbolic_labs, @ionet, @AethirCloud, @rendernetwork, @PhalaNetwork, @getgrass_io
----
🎨 Training
AI-platforms: @sentient_agi, @bittensor_, @ritualnet, @PrimeIntellect, @AutonomysNet, @NEARProtocol. Some of them build across the stack.
@NousResearch is doing important research like DisTro.
Also, @OraProtocol is focused on inference.
----
👁️ Infra and data
Data protocols: @SaharaLabsAI, @oceanprotocol, @withvana, @Hivemapper, @PINAI_IO
In privacy, FHE, and zkml, we have @zama_fhe, @FhenixIO, @inconetwork, @ModulusLabs
Proof of humanity: well-known @worldcoin, but also @Humanityprot
AI agents: @Fetch_ai, @myshell_ai, @TalusNetwork, @MorpheusAIs, @autonolas. And we need to mention Coinbase here with their recent AI agent!
----
Conclusion
This is a very limited list of projects that caught my eye most, and I'm sorry for not including all teams here - there are 100+ projects building in the space.
It's rather a starting point for your own research.
Kudos to @0xPrismatic for putting together a much more extensive crypto x AI research piece.
