THREAD: The JNU 'Dissent' That Crossed Into Darkness
On Jan 5, 2026, after Supreme Court rejected bail for Umar Khalid & Sharjeel Imam in the Delhi riots conspiracy case, a "protest" was organized at JNU.
It quickly spiraled into something far more sinister. 🧵
1/10
JNU Student Union (JNUSU), led by left-wing groups AISA, SFI, DSF, called a gathering to mark an anniversary of allegedly occurred violence on 5th of january 2020
But the mask of "dissent" slipped.
Slogans were raised calling for the DEATH of PM Narendra Modi & HM Amit Shah.
In no democracy does the law protect calls for the death of elected, constitutional dignitaries.
This isn't dissent. This is hate speech. This is a call for violence. It is criminal, unconstitutional, and betrays the very idea of India.
Media And Social Media Coverage on Suresh Kalmadi’s Death
Following demise of Congress leader and the main face behind the CWG 2010 Scam Suresh Kalmadi, Congress affiliated media organisations and pro-Congress propagandist journalists launched a coordinated operation
1/5
This propaganda campaign was launched to whitewash Kalmadi and hail him as some kind of developmental hero
This is not coincidental.
This is a well synchronised operation to give a clean chit to the man responsible for defaming and damaging India’s reputation on the global stage.
Is Modi govt “destroying” Aravallis, or is a false panic being manufactured?
Facts show the opposite.
Under PM Modi, conservation of Aravallis saw:
▪️Largest ecological restoration effort ever undertaken with a 1,400 km long, 5 km wide green belt, combating desertification under Aravalli Green Wall Project
▪️Legally recognized protection backed by scientific definition.
Let’s look at the record. 👇
1/6
2/6 For years, Aravalli’s conservation suffered due to vague definitions.
That changed in Nov 2025, when the Supreme Court Accepted Environment Ministry’s definition of Aravalli Hills as landforms 100m+ above local relief, including slopes, with a mandatory 100m buffer.
This is legal recognition of conservation backed by SC!
3/6
The 100-metre buffer rule is not new.
Do you know who proposed it?
It was scientifically defined by the Forest Survey of India in 2010, during the Congress-led UPA government.
What changed under PM Modi is enforcement.
UPA merely proposed and then failed to enforce it protecting Aravalli ranges. Modi government has finally given legal protection.
Today, PM Modi addressed the Joint Session of the Ethiopian Parliament, calling it a great privilege and warmly greeting lawmakers in Addis Ababa.
It was one the finest speech by any global leader at Ethiopian Parliament
If you missed it, here are the key highlights from the address.
1/15
Country of Lions
Modi began with a light and personal note: “It is wonderful to be here in Ethiopia, the land of lions.”
He added with a smile about feeling at home because his own home state of Gujarat in India also has lions.
2/15
I Know Your Language
That opening brought immediate connection with the audience, setting a warm tone that blended respect with a touch of humor rooted in shared wildlife symbolism.
Then Modi surprised them by speaking in Ethiopian language
In the 78 years since 1947, the title of "World's Fastest-Growing Major Economy" has passed through just 5 hands:
USA (1947-50)
Japan (1950-73)
South Korea (1973-82)
China (1983-2014)
India (2015-2025)
Today, India holds this crown, and the IMF says it won't let go anytime soon. Here's how global economic leadership shifted over 8 decades🧵
1/10
THE POST-WAR ERA (1947-1950): USA
In the immediate aftermath of WWII, the United States emerged as the world's dominant economic power. While Europe and Asia lay devastated, America's untouched industrial base and the Marshall Plan made the US the fastest-growing major economy during reconstruction.
Growth: 4-8% annually
2/10
THE JAPANESE MIRACLE (1950-1973): JAPAN
For 23 years, Japan was THE fastest-growing major economy in the world.
Average growth: 10% annually
Peak: 13% in 1968
Rose from war ruins to the world's 2nd largest economy by the 1970s The "Japanese Economic Miracle" was driven by exports, technology adoption & the Keiretsu system.
For more than a decade, the Trinamool Congress went to new lows in its pursuit of Muslim vote-bank politics. In West Bengal, this appeasement has translated into a chilling reality: Hindus pushed to the margins, reduced to second-class citizens in their own homeland.
From the Sandeshkhali atrocities to open communal intimidation by elected representatives, the pattern is neither accidental nor isolated, it is the predictable outcome of the same brand of identity politics INDI -Alliance pioneered nationally.
Let us have a look at a compilation of such incidents -
1/10
TMC MLA Humayun Kabir to lay foundation stone of ‘Babri Masjid’
In an attempt to champion appeasement, TMC MLA Humayun Kabir, announced that he would lay the foundation stone of a Babri Masjid on 6th Dec 2025 in Beldanga, Murshidabad. Posters surfaced across the area as he claimed a multi-crore project. The selection of Murshidabad should not come as a surprise.
2/10
TMC MLA Humayun Kabir threatens Hindus to drown them in Bhagirathi
TMC MLA Humayun Kabir, who is apparently the appeaser-in-chief of Mamata Banerjee, outrightly threatened Hindus and BJP supporters to drown them in Bhagirathi in just 2 hours. He cited the population being on his side.
And guess what happened to him? Nothing, no actions, no cry for human rights.
