NEW: I've received evidence of an arrest for illegal geese harvesting in Springfield, Ohio. But it wasn't a Haitian immigrant who was arrested. It was a white man named Brian Comer, who shot two geese with a shotgun on a golf course. Image
It turns out that Trump and Vance were not wrong that people are illegally hunting wildlife in Springfield, Ohio — they just accused the wrong person.

Here's the full case report regarding the illegal geese hunting incident in Springfield, Ohio, in which the defendant admits to killing the geese without the necessary permit. Image
The arrest of Brian Comer for illegally hunting geese resulted in an indictment noting that the defendant admitted to the crime. I've redacted personal information from the filing. Image

SCOOP: The email address of a Senior Advisor to Donald Trump, Jason Miller, appears in the Ashley Madison data leak. The username of the associated account is JJames. Miller's middle name is James. Miller was married at the time, per court documents. More details below.

I was able to verify that the email belongs to Miller via court docs. The Ashley Madison profile associated with the email was created in 2009 with GPS coordinates in southeast Washington D.C. Miller lived in Washington D.C. at the time, per court docs.

Background reports link Miller to an address in southeast Washington D.C. at the time the Ashley Madison account associated with his email was created. The GPS coordinates in the data leak are approximate and not precise, but do they appear to be associated with IP address.

I can independently confirm that the same email address Chris Rufo used to fill out paperwork for his 2018 Seattle City Council candidacy appears in the 2015 Ashley Madison data leak that came years before Rufo was a public figure.
Image
Unclear to me why anyone would have created an Ashley Madison account using Chris Rufo's email address years before he was a public figure. Image
Chris Rufo blocked me after I pointed out that he is falsely claiming his email isn't in the Ashley Madison leak database. His email can be found via two different searches that can be replicated by anyone.

I acquired the police call report/recording the Federalist published to claim evidence of Haitian migrants hunting geese in Springfield, OH. The Federalist redacted the name of the caller and didn't quote law enforcement, who told me they have no other evidence of such claims. Image
The call recording I received included the caller's phone number. Their first name is Toby. I called the number and reached a man who sounded like the man on the recording. When I asked if he was Toby, he asked who was calling. I told him I'm a journalist. He immediately hung up.
After I followed up via text, Toby told me he is at work right now and can't be on his phone. I told him he can call me any time today. I look forward to hearing from him.

SCCOP: TX Supreme Court ordered City of Dallas to remove ballot propositions that if approved would override those put forward by Dallas Hero, a shadowy initiative with undisclosed funders. The plaintiff in the case works for Ashford, whose chairman donated to TX SC justices.
1/ Image
Monty Bennett, the chairman of Ashford, has donated thousands to the campaigns of Justices Brett Busby, Debra Lehrmann, Evan Young, Jane Bland, Jimmy Blacklock, John Devine, Nathan Hecht, and Rebecca Huddle. Bennett's website, the Dallas Express, openly supports Dallas Hero.

If you want to learn more about the individuals and groups that have lent their support to the ostensibly nonpartisan Dallas Hero initiative, read this thread.

Dallas, if you're confused by the provenance of the three charter amendments that will be on the ballot, let me spell it out for you: 🧵
1. A board member of a wealthy Republican donor's company created an organization called Dallas HERO to collect signatures for the proposals
2. Dallas HERO, which claims to be bipartisan, has received support from the Dallas County GOP. The director of the campaign was a Trump appointee, a fellow at the conservative Club for Growth, and doesn't even live in the city of Dallas. No Democrats have expressed support.
3. Dallas HERO spent untold sums collecting the signatures. They've paid for tshirts that say "MORE COPS NOW." The source of this money is almost certainly a major right wing donor. As a 501c4, they don't have to disclose who is behind it.

NEW: At least eight members or supporters of the neo-Nazi Aryan Brotherhood of Texas gang attacked a mixed-race family in Martindale in a possible hate crime. Only one was arrested. I teamed up with @bellingcat to identify six of the eight perpetrators.

texasobserver.org/neo-nazi-marti…
The Observer acquired footage of the attack recorded by an eyewitness and verified the contents with the victims. Video appears to show individuals who were part of the group that included the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas members or supporters instigating the fight. Image
At least three of the perpetrators are apparent members of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas motorcycle club. Their vests regularly feature Nazi iconography and direct references to the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas. Image
