One of my favorite stories under the 'Things That Make You Go Hmmmm' banner is that time back in 2018 when UCLA researchers discovered that there may be brain scans to diagnose ACTUAL gender dysphoria. At the time it was hailed as a godsend to the trans community, b/c now we could easily diagnose true dysphoria and show who is (and crucially, who isn't) actually dysphoric. Problem solved!......right?!
But the huge study UCLA planned was shelved due to explosive and unexpected pushback from the trans community.
Now why would THAT be the case?🤔
Can you imagine cancer-advocacy groups aggressively pushing back on a much more effective way to diagnose cancer?
What could POSSIBLY be the reason they would find this so offensive that it had to be stopped before it could even be studied? 🙄
Don't get me wrong, I'm skeptical about the science behind this, it has the whiff of junk science, my point is how interesting it is how the trans community responded to the news that this was out there. Because if everything the trans community says about their identity is true (that it's a tangible, innate part of their authentic self) they would have greeted this news with glee and excitement. For the crowd that requires constant validation and affirmation it would be really bizarre to reject something that would give them scientific validation and affirmation of their claims.
The ironic thing is, the researchers working on this were probably woke activists themselves who thought they were doing something that would be good for the trans community, some form of academic virtue signalling. What they didn't realize is that the AGP's who run the transgender movement know that they aren't women and that even if there WAS a medical test for dysphoria, they would all fail it.
Whats your take on this issue Colin?

Seriously dude? You srsly can't understand WHY would predators adopt a trans identity in order to victimize women?
Transgenderism is a predators dream come true, providing them with unprecedented access to victims, social protections & powerful accomplices
A brief thread 🧵🧵🧵
You've got governments actively targeting women, shaming them & telling them to IGNORE the instinctive fear they feel in close quarters with strange men
Not long ago the #1 safety tip for women was "listen to your gut". Now, they're bigots if they do🤷🏼♂️
And then you've got signs like this one that are popping at universities, government buildings and other highly visible places in public society telling women they'd BETTER SHUT THEIR FVCKING MOUTHS if they feel uncomfortable when a man in a dress is in their single-sex spaces
This story is even worse than Imane Khelif, Oliver Browns excellent piece shows how insane this story is & the abject cowardice of the Paralympics & everyone involved is both shocking and infuriating. Let's take a deep dive into this article & look see how bad it really is, a 🧵:
This dude was still competing as a man at 45 years old (guess he just hadn't realized his "innate gender identity" yet🤷🏼♂️) Also in a deeply unsurprising twist, as recently as 2021,he gave interviews where he would "speak dismissively of women" giving the impression of misogyny
Just this past summer, he gave an interview where he announced "you can see I'm a man", highly unusual language for someone demanding to compete against disabled females on the basis of his "innate femaleness".
You can almost envision the smug smirk plastered on his face
Welp, @ElleCanada is certainly getting a richly deserved ratio this morning. If you're not caught up on this story, here's a quick recap. If you haven't heard this one yet, it'll make your blood boil 🧵
It started yesterday when trans activist Fae Johnstone tweeted out his thanks to Elle Canada for including him in their story on "women breaking the glass ceiling", which raised some eyebrows because Fae is well known to be male, wtf is he doing in a story on the glass ceiling?
Ppl were naturally quick to jump on the Elle article, pointing out how awkward it was to centre two men in an article about "breaking the glass ceiling", a metaphor used to describe the difficulties ACTUAL women tend to face climbing the corporate ladder
I cannot stress enough how absolutely inappropriate it would be for a man to be touching an Algerian woman in this way in public.
There is simply no way an Algerian woman would be touched like this by men in public, Its the literal definition of haram
#ParisOlympics2024
Nope, no way in hell Khelifs trainers believe this is a female, they would never in a million years do this, it would be profoundly scandalous.
Yup. Algerian society is deeply segregated by sex, with a large cultural chasm between men and women that is rigidly enforced. This shows not only is Khelif male, but that everyone around him (and likely most ppl in Algeria) knows this.
Seriously dude? WHY would predators adopt a trans identity in order to victimize women? Were you born yesterday?

Lots of responses to this post I made the other day laying out the case for why trans activism is homophobic, most of them supportive. For the few that weren't, here's a thread where I brought the receipts. If my earlier post was opening arguments, consider this the full case: 🧵
First up, the charities, such as Stonewall and GLAAD. These are the groups that were originally set up as gay rights advocates, but were retooled around 2015 into trans rights advocates, and - since trans activism seeks to erase homosexuality - promptly began to do exactly that
With the anti-gay activists now in charge and setting the tone, media now takes the reins and begins subtly erasing the very notion of same-sex attraction, suggesting that lesbians who don't want to date ppl with penises, and gay men not interested in vaginas are hateful bigots
