beyond parody -- Trump begins his event in North Carolina by vowing to restore Confederate names to renamed military facilities

after vowing to restore Confederate names to military bases, Trump lies about the government giving money to migrants and hence not having funds for disaster relief

Remember Diamond (RIP) and Silk? Well, Silk is on stage at the Trump event attacking "Tampon Timmy"

Q: How soon will you start deporting the murderers?

TRUMP: Many of these people murdered more than one person ... ooh, the chart.. Do you have something up here that could show?

"We'll fire their asses" -- Trump vows to fire military officials involved in covid vaccine mandates

Trump's hue is especially demonic tonight

Trump in North Carolina: "I think I just learned the secret to winning absolutely and by massive margins. I'm gonna promise to you that we're gonna change the name back to Fort Bragg. This great looking soldier just accidentally said Fort Liberty & he got booed out of the place"

Trump on world leaders: "They think I was crazy, and that's a good thing to think."

you absolutely can't make it up -- a Vietnam vet presents Trump with a Purple Heart he received for his service there (Trump famously avoided serving in Vietnam because of bone spurs)

Anna Paulina Luna accuses the media at the Trump event of not helping hurricane victims because they live in red areas, castigating them to "do your job and do better." Trump then pivots to praising Elon Musk, but he has a hard time remembering "Starlink."

Trump on (losing) the 2020 election: "We had a terrible election. We're not gonna let that happen again. We can't even lat that happen again. What a shame that was."

the last question Trump takes is from a Space Force veteran who says he was fired for criticizing DEI trainings. Trump tells the guy he will put him on a task force to root out DEI in the military.

after Lara Trump speaks, Trump murders irony anew by claiming "I'm very conscience of nepotism."

Trump ends the event in North Carolina by once again shouting out Confederates: "Thank you everybody from Fort Bragg!"

Trump dismisses the latest strong jobs report during interview with Kudlow: "The illegal migrants that are coming into the country are getting the jobs."

Trump on Fox Business: "Our country was the richest when we were doing tariffs. This was in the 1880s and '90 ... McKinley was actually a great president. He was assassinated. Do you know why he was assassinated? Because he was charging all these countries money, probably."

Trump to Kudlow on Fox Business: "A tariff is a beautiful thing, but it's gotta a bad image. It needs you to fix the image. We stop wars with tariffs ... I stopped a war. Will I get Nobel Prizes? Never."

"This report is basically abating concerns that the labor market is deteriorating!" -- It's time for my favorite Friday tradition: Maria Bartiromo and company cope with yet another strong Biden jobs report

"This good news brings into question how much longer will this easing of inflationary pressures last" -- It took Fox Business talking heads about 5 minutes, but they found a way to be negative about the latest strong jobs report. Congratulations to them.

"I'm changing my tune on this" -- lmao: Fox Business talking head argues that if you just take our the sectors where job growth was strong, the latest jobs report is actually bad. This line of reasoning convinces Maria Bartiromo.
