Project 2025 wants to exploit the executive branch’s vast and unprecedented powers to spy on Americans lives with warrantless surveillance of our data and violate the First Amendment by using federal law enforcement to target journalists and protestors.
Project 2025 aims to undermine election officials and restrict voting access through executive power. It threatens to reverse recent progress by cutting federal resources for elections and using the Department of Justice against officials who make decisions the administration disagrees with. Additionally, it seeks to dismantle CISA, limiting its role in election security and addressing misinformation.
Project 2025 proposes stripping the Department of Justice’s integral Civil Rights Division, which defends Americans of color in civil rights cases. This would open the floodgates for bad actors to discriminate against Americans of color in every aspect of their lives, from voting rights to housing to employment to education.
Donald Trump is trying to distance himself from Project 2025, but Americans must recognize the threat it poses to our rights and democracy. We shouldn’t be fooled when our rights and fundamental freedoms are on the line. With so much at stake this November, it's crucial to make our voices heard.
